Ahmm this is the "Pacific IT Forum" , its not the "Our People dont Have Electricity Forum"

Yes I do realize that is the plight of most of our people, but you obviously have electricity hence you posted...........

This is the IT Forum and the subject of this stream is the High Cost of Internet in PAPUA NEW GUINEA.

It is undisputible that our internet charges are extremley high.

Ok some people argue that we are not in the highest in the world, maybe we are not.

But we are still extremley high.

Most countries dont charge by the megabyte anymore, they simply bundle packages such as 30g or 100g per month for a set amount, when you exceed this amount of data you are not charged for the excess, your connection speed is just slowed down.

You can get 30g packages around the world for under $20usd per month.

30G in PNG will cost you around k7000.

So for anyone to say that we are not amongst the highest priced internet in the world, you must be living in a bubble. 20 DOLLARS COMPARED TO 7000 KINA...... Doh
