TO the Moderator:
Please try to remove the grey "username - connect" java applet that comes up in the homepage of pngscape.net
When you're trying to connect to this site from PNG where the speeds are very very slow and alot of the old computers have low processing power, it slows down the whole appreciation of pngscape, hence there are more overseas users than PNG users. I suggest you remove that large unnecessary applet and have a smaller one?

They may use it for tracing.
My suggestion. Turn off Java. |

They can try tracing but all they will come up with are IP addresses. But personal IP addresses are changed automatically at every log-in by the ISP so all they can get is the ISP address. Unless they obtain a federal warrant.
So if you try tracing a guy using an ISP that has services nationwide, you will get a WA address for a guy surfing in NSW. etc. And IP trackers can easily be downloaded from the net by the dozens FOC.
I agree too the that applet whatever its true role is (for network45 or pngscape or whatever), it is bothersome. |
