Hi to all,
I have heard that many people would like an A or B TswissT dial, Of course why not, its a great dial and the watch is out of this world.( in either Pam 1 and 2)

The question for all Paneristi is what about a Pam2B with a LswissL dial? Is this a watch that will be in high demand in the near future( B series 2 screw version buckle out of 1500 and with a solid back).

What do you think?

regards
andy

The 2B L's are difficult to perdict because

they are basically still made today in the form of the 112's but now with the expo back of course. The 2A's and early 2B's with the T dials are unique from the T dial standpoint which should add a little value to those. What the 2B L dials do have going for them is two things as I see it. First is history. They were produced in the early Vendome days in small numbers. Plus some do prefer the L dials over the T dials as the L's do not get the yellowing patina the T's get.

That said, I would suspect that none of the 2's will appreciate at the same rate as a PVD or any model that has been discontinued or updated like the older GMT's vs the newer ones. It will be up to the owner/buyer to appreciate the history of the piece or not, and be willing to pay a premium for that aspect of that watch.

All this from a Panerai 2B L owner by the way. To me my pleasure comes from knowing the watch I am wearing is part of the early history of Panerai and from loving the clean looks of the Pam 2 L dial. And that is enough to make my 2B a keeper for me.

The 2OOR is an interesting one. Before I bought

April 14 2004, 11:44 AM

my 2B I was going to order the 2 OOR. But then I got a good deal on my 2B so I went that way instead. Just preferred having the real deal instead of a remake. Not that there's anything wrong with the remakes, as Jerry would say. For those not wanting a used 2 or the 112 for any reason, let's say the expo back, the 2OOR is a good choice. Don't think the 200R will have the apreciation value that of the 2's, but maybe a bit more then what the 112's will in the future. But then again I really don't care that much about the appreciation value of most of my watches. That is not really a major factor for most of my watch purchases.
