My GGG Grandfather James Hartley was a Tea Merchant in Scotland,my GG Grandfather John Hartley was a Tea Wholesaler in Dorchester Dorset 1851 to 1867,he and his family then moved up to London,and three of his sons Henry(My G Grandfather) ,William and James all listed as Tea Merchants in London from 1881.James was also a Tea Merchant in South Africa J H Hartley (James Housden)However apart from finding my GG Grandfather John was in Partnership, Hartley Aldridge & Frampton 16 Mark Lane London EC.I cannot find any other records of them as Tea Merchants.
