I just found out today that the Snoqualmie Mountaineers ski area is no more. As of last fall the board of trustees I guess decided to call it quits there and the area will no longer be a ski area, unless Booth Creek buys the property and uses the area to connect central and west, who knows?
Anyway, it was news to me and I'll soon be adding this area to the lost list.
As for any other future lost areas? I would say that there might be a chance that Mission Ridge could join the list...but that is just a hunch on my part. I don't know about the Spokane area resorts or Bluewood, but it seems the other sites are secure. Hyak is the only area that I am aware of that was once dead and came back into service. This was duirng the bankruptcy years in the early 80's.
