Hello Stacey

Welcome to SST.

Once the game starts it takes a little time (about 20 minutes) before you reach a pointwhere you can save, exit and go back to leading a normal life. This is after you have gone through your earthly house, been lifted up into Titanic, and have started the opening credits (pressing the button on the plynth).

Once you have done thos things, your game is cntrolled entirely by your PET (Personal Electronic Thing). That is... the strip at the bottom of the game screen.

To the right of your PET is a series of five icons in a vertical column. The bottom of these is called 'Real Life'. When you click on that, the rest of your PET changes to 'real Life' mode and provides you with a series of controls tha let you Save, Load, Change Sound levels and Quit your game.

Might I recommend you take our Starship Tours by clicking on the appropriate button at the top of this forum? It will help you as you do not have a handbook (SST's handbook was pretty slim, anyway) and you can see/print the original handbook here.

Finally, our Getting Started page may also guide you as to the general thrust of the game.

But always always ALWAYS you are welcome to come here and ask questions, and join us for friendly chat on our 1st Class forum.

A stray 'W' found its way into the link address. All done now, as they.

OK, move along now everyone, there's nothing to see here, honest.
