No game, no patches, no fun

I've just picked up a copy of Starship Titanic, but can't get it to run. I'm using Win98, with DirectX 9, (although the 3-d hardware capability of my Matrox MGA 200 AGP card is only DirectX 7 but that should be OK for SST) and it's installed fine. But every time it starts I get the splash screen and then back to desktop.

The game CDs are for version b, so I thought installing the patch to version c might help - but they're links are dead on the SST website.

Please help...

Ta

Kate

Hi Kate
the old SST websites are long gone.

The webmaster of these sites had gathered some stuff
http://www.protext.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/sst-forum/patches/patches.htm
not sure if a patch would solve your problem.
This sounds more like a DirextX prob. Could also be the described VideoCard....

SST SHOULD run with Win'98. And it is Great fun, that's for sure.

Please tell us if you've got it running.
