haunted

Ok, well, I guess the house I am living in right now would fit under the classification "haunted". There are a lot of small experiences here and there, a handful of eerie occurrences, and a few downright scary happenings. The scariest thing I can remember was laying in my bed with the blue light on, I had my eyes closed but was not going to sleep at the time, and had opened them up to see what looked like a dark figure sitting, curled up in a ball in the corner of my room. I had become paralyzed with fear and closed my eyes, only to open them seconds later and see nothing at all. The bedroom I sleep in has an overwhelming sense of sorrow and desperation, and when walking down the hallway you never feel as if you are alone.

A few of the eerie things are hearing voices whispering when no one else is in the house but myself. Feeling what felt like a hand running softly up and down my arm while sitting on our couch, hearing my name called when I myself am the only person in the house, hearing knocking, footsteps, and on a few occasions, moaning. I would say that since I have lived in this house, beginning in 1992, something to that nature has happened at least 2 or 3 times a month. It's something you get used to, especially when nothing violent or potentially life-threatening occurs. A very odd thing is that I have tried to trace some history of this house, and there are a lot of pieces missing from the puzzle. It's been here over 30 years, and a lot is missing in the details of its past.

Maybe it's haunted, maybe it's a prank, maybe I'm a nutcase (which some seem to agree with :oD )...
