Cannibal Ferox

I'll sum my review up in the sentence my brother spoke when I showed him the infamous turtle-hacking scene "Oh my god that's disgusting!" This movie was a sick, putrid, vile, brutal film, all the reason I loved it! I'll admit the 100% real animal killings did disturb me and made me want to turn the film off, but by god I stuck through it and was decently surprised at how good the film actually was.

I could have done without the unnecessary violence towards animals (I love turtles!), but I guess in some strange, surreal way it helped enhance the realism of the film. One thing did bother me though.. Is it just me, or would anyone else NOT BE ABLE TO WALK IF THEIR DICK WAS CUT OFF. That tittie-hook scene was pretty brutal itself. All in all, if you can get past the animal mutilations, die hard gorehounds will find perverse delight in this ghastly ghoulish gem.

The copy I received in the mail was a complimentary gift from the RMM Agency, so I can't say whether or not it was worth the money it costs to buy it, but I would recommend it. As long as you go into it knowing you're in for one hell of a cinematic ride. And a brutal one, to say the least.

On the Ghastly Ghoulish Go Go 'O-meter - 4 out of 5 stars
