Suburban Hell

While I wouldn't agree that American Beauty was the best movie ever, I certainly think it was a brilliant film. It took an Englishman to hold up a mirror to the ugliness of suburban life.

As for the best movie ever - my money's on Kurosawa's Seven Samurai. Now THAT is a goddamn masterpiece.
