The Extreme Ultimate Horror Board

A message board dedicated to the discussion of Horror Films, as well as a place for Horror fans to meet, make friends and trade information. Use it often, visit as much as you like and be sure that you will NOT be censored on here - ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS JOIN THE HORROR ELITE by going to http://network54.com/Hide/Group/6243 and following the directions. Once you have become a member of The Horror Elite, you can post here. You then do NOT have to post your e-mail. Your real name is also NOT required, many people use nicknames - but feel free to use your real name if you want, as it makes it easier for us to all get to know one another. I want this to be a place where people can be free and be themselves WITHOUT FEAR of being insulted and ridiculed. Horror fans are always slammed and snickered at and told to "grow up" or "get a life" and they are many times treated bad from their peers. They are made fun of and tormented for who they are. NOT HERE. They can feel at ease in being the real person inside. I am not here to judge and I will not allow others to do this. I want all people posting here to be free and know that they can be real and post anything without fear of retribution.

Sick?

by

Sick?? You think what I wrote was sick?? Ha! I'll show you sick:

His sanity robes removed
Pushed face down upon the floor.
Legs kicked apart, bare-ass in the air.
A fistful of hair yanks his hair back
He supposedly pardons us for every sin,
But can Jesus forgive those who desecrated his body?
Incarcerated inside a Roman prison
Jesus would soon find His feminine side.
They parted his buttocks like the red sea.

Carrying his cross as blood ran down his leg
The bitter taste of atheistic discharges upon the palate
Imprisoned disciples witnessed the irreverent crime.
But the Bible will never acknowledge the debauchery.
In lock up he was unable to spread the holy word.
Because irreligious penis' clogged His immaculate wind pipe.
The guards laughed at the messiah's screams.
No angels came to bring Jesus deliverence.

A handful of inmates would make the nazerene their bitch.
Sexually forcing him to open his holiest orifices.
Never tell the truth of the Lords molestation.
The anointed deep throating, anally plundered, and crucified.
Did his wounds really heal?

He was raped.
The reaming of the redeemer.
The penetration of God's son.
The violation of the savior.
He was raped
Christ sodomized for our sins.

He supposedly pardons us for every sin.
But can Jesus forgive those who desecrated his body?
The most heinous offenses to ever discrace the Lord.
His pain and humiliation echo through Heaven
as hymns of Gospel sing of His greatness.

Answer regarding your sickness

by

I'm very sorry but I found that far more amusing than sick. If you want sick, this is sick...

The priest went berserk
Sodomizing his recently baptized daughter
Vehemently tearing her rectum
Fecal matter dripping from the anal slaughter
His implements of torture
Dismantle the object of purity
Speaker of the gospel
Anxious to relieve his daughters virginity
Immaculate conception
Gods henchman satisfying his innermost needs
Towards a child I conceived (he said),
"I shall do as I please!"
Upon the altar
Now desecrated with blasphemy
The defier of Jesus
Laps blood from her pussy
Burnt offerings
Saturated in sacrilege
Pedophile experimentation
Combined with incest
Drained of here precious blood
The priest removes shit from her large intestine
Investigating the putrecence and crud
Feasting on what remains of here incomplete digestion
A mass of innards
Splayed upon the floor
Removed by hand from each entrance
Of the disemboweled whore
With stiffened member
The sadist deep throats her severed head
Reaching climax violently
Semen ejected upon the dead
Pounding each limb with an axe
Into unrecognizable matter
Mutilating with vicious attack
Butchering the carcass with a hammer

~ Sodomized By God, by Willow Wisp

THE REASONS AND PEOPLE THAT MATTER

by

Many of you have read my mission statement on this site, some have not - if you haven't, I want you to stop now and go to the front page and click on it and read it. If you have read it, I need to add to it now. Right here. Why? It's easy. Because of you.

As we enter a new millenium, it seems rather obvious that we all naturally reflect on our pasts. What have we done good? What are mistakes we have made? I have, like all of you, made many mistakes, but through it all, I kept working and learning. It's OK to make a mistake as long as you learn from it, and never repeat it. I have gone from a nobody kid who dreamt of making movies to actually being a semi-known in the underground director of the movies I love. Like you all know - I hated the early ones... with a passion! But looking back, I see them for what they were... mistakes, learning tools, fun times with buds... and I look at some of the past mistakes I have made with cast and crew - with friends and enemies - and I see where this little company is now - how it has grown and where we are heading.

This is where you all come in. Your support and love for what I do is a great asset to me and to the cause that I fight for everyday. And more than that, it is an honor to work with you, to talk with you, to e-mail you and to just plain have you visit this site. The last four years have been great... always growing, getting new people involved that find they love it like we do! People like Phil, Jen, Jeslyn, Abe, Ruth, Tim, Mike, Curtis, Ari, Blake and Brenna... you guys all make this better than ever and I am sooo honored to have you with me in my journey - you guys believe in me... and in what I am doing - along with the survivors of the hell years... you guys never let me down... are always enthusiastic and with me 100% - even when its been a 12 hour day and we are tired and ready to drop... you still give me more... And we will all travel together to whatever awaits us in the future - your loyalty is never overlooked and will be repaid with mine...

My partners, Brian, Jolene, Antwoine, Rico -
Even when it gets tough, I know that you are all behind me and with me and I love that feeling - I have never had it before and was always alone in my battle, but you all make it easier... and you are all important to me in many many ways - we are family.. we fight and we bicker and we get mad as hell - but we know where we stand and who we are and WHAT we are to each other. It's rare to find a bond like many of us have - and it is even more rare to find people that genuinely care about one another.

There are some new bright interns: Bill and Blake and Ehren - I think you could all get into this - and do well... just find your strengths and put a stop to your weaknesses... and you will be aksed to join us like the others have done... and you will have a ticket to ride this train also.. Work hard and always keep your word.. That is one thing I am 100% into: I always keep my word... maybe late, but I keep it! Stay honest and true and be like these others and you will be here for a long time...

The fans that write me everyday... I get dozens and dozens of e-mails from you... and it takes me some time to get it all answered, but I swear I do actually get around to answering it all myself - no crummy form letters or receptionists... it's all done by me... I refuse to have other people answer a letter that you guys have taken the time and energy to write yourselves. I do this for you everyday. I sweat and lose sleep and work 12 hour shooting days to entertain you. And when I get these letters, it makes it all worth while. Keep watching em, and we'll keep making em - bigger and better all the time!

New film makers just starting out... I love giving you advice when you ask... but be patient... I have lots of mail - and the best rule I can make is: NEVER DEVELOP EGO BEFORE TALENT! Ego is a killer... it is an enemy. We must all realize that making films is great as long as we keep the focus on the art... not the pride, not the power, not the ego. It's good to be proud and love your work, but it's much better when a stranger does... they aren't biased. Don't try to be the NEXT Tarantino or Spielberg or Carpenter... just be YOU. We already have them and don't need another. Too many clones ruin the art.

Finally... Let me say that the next year will be a big one - a year of growth... a year of new ideas and new projects... and no matter what... I still refuse to sell out, to be anyone but me or to let anone stop me from doing what I love to do.

Happy New Year guys... to old members to new ones - you are all the best... and remember to never lose focus of who we are and where we are going... and remember to keep the result in mind... My New Year resolution is simple:

I AM GONNA SPLATTER THE NEW MILLENIUM AND PAINT THAT BITCH RED!

by

Todd and Everyone--

I have weaknesses, like not being able to come to the set sometimes, but not having my own car this is somewhat unavoidable. But i am working hard to fix this. My other weakness is when i exploded and posted a message on the board that i highly regret. it was called "Tension Among the Cast and Crew" and i am sorry for posting it because i feel like i upsetted Todd and others, and showed an angry and uncaring side of me that doesnt exist. Frankly, i was sick with the flu and could get upset very easily so i apologize to everyone. and i will be at this shoot tonite dammit! I will see you all there and i will prove to everyone and myself that i can work my ass off! See you all there, i hope you had a merry hannukah/christmas and a happy new year!!

The Crucifixion was a Fraud

by

The Crucifixion was a Fraud

-----------------------------------------

Billions of Christians believe Christ was crucified, buried, and then rose again. This is the basis for Christian faith. What if Jesus survived the crucifixion? Would this be pure blasphemy or is there reason behind this assumption? There is evidence in the gospels themselves that say Christ may have survived the crucifixion and that the crucifixion to put it bluntly was a "fraud."

Writer and researcher Michael Baigent, author of Holy Blood-Holy Grail, and other scholars believe that the gospels are suspect to the theory of the survival of Christ. He says his theories are not intended to offend, but one must keep a clear distinction between the Jesus of history and the Jesus of theology even though the Jesus of theology is based on the historical Jesus. One can only find the figure of the Jesus of history by teasing out of various historical documents, some which are the New Testament.

In the theory of the survival of Jesus, there are a number of clues which help support it, but there are two major clues that are the strongest. The first is in the crucifixion itself. When a person was crucified they did not die quickly, but rather a slow painful, morbid death which would have taken two to three days, possibly even a week. Jesus supposedly died within two to three hours. Joseph of Arimethea went to Pilot and asked to have the body of Jesus, which was contrary to Roman law anyway, and when Pilot heard that Jesus was already dead, he was so surprised to hear that Jesus had died so quickly that he sent a centurion to check. The second oddity is that the crucifiction took place in what seemed to be a private garden and tomb owned by Joseph of Arimethea. The importance of this observation is that if there was any fraudulence associated with the crucifixion, then the public could be kept away in a private garden and Jesus could be privately taken away, revived, tendered and ministered to.

If Jesus did not die on the cross he would have been forced to flee the Holy Land. If authorities discovered Jesus was still alive, he would have been punished again. So where would he have gone? There is a story of Christ's life after the crucifixion. That the blood relatives of Jesus may still live among us!

Rennes le Château is at the foot of the Peraniese Mountains in the South of France. This small town is at the center of a religious and historical cyclone. The story begins with a young Parish priest by the name of Bérenger Saunière. Bérenger Saunière was first assigned to Rennes le Château in 1885 at the age of 33. He started renovations of the church and found a suspicious hallow piece in the altar when taking it apart. Within the hallow piece he found four parchments, which started the mystery. Two of the parchments were written in code which he could not decipher. Saunière took the parchments to Paris to seek help from experts in military code and ciphers. It is believed that he found the key to unlocking the mystery of the documents. It is also believed that someone gave Saunière money to find out what information was obtained in the parchments or perhaps to keep the secrets of Rennes le Château from becoming public. When Bérenger Saunière went home he started a full renovation of the church. He found new details within the church's artwork that he thought to be clues to the information contained in the parchments.

Is it possible that the coded documents revealed to Bérenger Saunière that Christ had survived the crucifixion? In a depiction of stage fourteen of the cross, which is normally the body of Christ being carried to the tomb, Saunière showed the moon as already risen, thus Passover had already begun. No Jew would handle a dead body after the beginning of Passover. Either Saunière was showing that:

a) The body is not dead or
b) They were taking the body out of the tomb and not in.

After renovating the church, Saunière still had some money left over, so he continued in Rennes le Château and built a house, garden, and a tower which he named after Mary Magdala (Magdalene). The figure of Mary Magdala may prove key to historical legends that Mary Magdala traveled to the South of France, in addition some scholars believe she may have been the wife of Jesus.

A number of documents spoke of relationships between Mary Magdala and Jesus which could only be described as close. For example, it was witnessed that Jesus kissed her often on the lips to the point where the other disciples complained, perhaps they felt jealous. Jesus was a religious teacher. It was very unusual for a Jewish religious teacher to be unmarried, in fact a commandment of God was to be fruitful and multiply. The question arose, what could possibly be so important about this relationship that would cause such a mystery?

Michael Baigent believes two stories converge here. Could the Holy Grail, the illusive treasure of legend and myth be the key to unlocking this mystery? It would seem unrelated to Jesus and Mary but may be the most important clue of all. The Holy Grail was thought of as the chalice Christ drank from at the Last Supper, and which may of held his blood after the crucifixion. Could the Holy Grail have another meaning? A meaning hidden in the French words for Holy Grail:

SAN GREAL = Holy Grail, if broken differently to

SANG REAL = Blood Royal, the royal blood line

During research historical proof was found that the line of David, Jesus' blood line, existed in Europe during Medieval Times. According to Bérenger Saunière when the knight finds the Grail, he does not find the golden chalice, but proof that Jesus survived the crucifixion.

In 1917 when Saunière was dying, he called for a priest to hear his confessions. When the priest did, he fled from the room in shock, never smiling again. Perhaps Saunière imparted in him a secret, a secret that has been suppressed for 2,000 years. A secret that Jesus had survived the crucifixion. A secret that Jesus had a relationship with Mary Magdala, a relationship which produced children. And that these children made their way to France, where the bloodline of Christ, the bloodline of the royal line of David, continued and in fact continues today.

Your looking at the difference between the Jesus of theology and the Jesus of history. The Jesus of theology is a God the Jesus of history is a man like all other men. "We are trying to regain the Jesus of history, to find Jesus the man who walked, loved, and taught in Judah in the 1st Century A.D."

Stripped Raped and Strangled

by

They think they know who I am
All they know is I love to kill.
Face down, dead on the ground.
Find me before another is found.

I come alive in the darkness
Left murdered and nameless
Dead unburied and rotten
Half eaten by insects.

She was so beautiful
I HAD TO KILL HER!!!

Tied her up
And taped her mouth shut.
Couldn't Scream
Raped Violently
Rope tight, around her throat.
Her body twitches
as she chokes!

Strangulation caused her death
just like all the others
Raped before and after death
Stripped, naked, tortured.

It felt so good to kill.

I took their lives away.
7 dead, lying rotten.
Unburied victims.
their naked bodies putrefy.

They're all dead!
They're alldead!
They're all dead by strangulation!

Merry fuckin Christmas.

Lords Of Chaos

by

I picked the book up today. I haven't sat down to read it yet, but I've flipped through and browsed through a few sections, enough to know that the black metal subculture truely is a disturbing movement. It strikes me as being eerily similar to the hip hop culture, in the sense that they are killing each other off. I'm curious to see how Todd will make a film out of this, being that the book itself is a documentary-style fare. Maybe an interesting approach would to try and conduct some updated interviews on camera with some of the individuals, and what not. I can definately see Todd's career getting a boost with this film, it is almost certain to cause quite a bit of controversy. And as we all know, there is no such thing as bad publicity... Anyhow, I can't wait for this one to get underway!

People seriously need help - READ

by ZombieZoo

Readinig over this place and speaking with some of you gives me the following impression. Bill is a kid and likes to see how many people he can work up. He also seems to have a problem reading what is said to him. I know for a fact that Todd has told him things over and over and Bill seems to never listen. Bill, what are you doing? Do you not see how lucky you are to be working on a Horror film? And Todd seems like a great guy to work with.. someone who really gives a damn. I speak with him online and I would kill to be able to come there and be a part of this you lucky son of a bitch! It's not fair that you get this chance and don't even see what an honor it is. Ehren, you seem like a good kid that has a bit of brains. At least you know how important it is. Looks like you need to get there more. Tim seems like a real horror freak and I am sure he is having a blast. Todd told me he is doing a great job, so I can't wait to see it. All in all, I believe that this movie will be good from all I have read, but I would like to see more pics TODD! Anyway - I just wanted to post my feelings about this soap opera after just talking with THE MAN for a bit. Hope you guys straighten it all out. I was told this one is going really good and that it is way ahead of schedule and that it is very gross. Can't wait!

Update on Creepy Moon thing

by

I guess that the moon being in its closest proximity to the Earth ever is actually tonight. Tonight, there was a 6.0 earthquake in Algeria. Tonight, the rebirth of the Sun God begins. Lets hope that we live to see the sun rise again. Or at least let us hope and pray that the sun will rise again...

Creepy things afoot in CA...

by

Ok first off, it's hella windy here. The winds are about 50mph, and it all has to do with the moon being as close to the Earth as it has ever been in the recorded history of weather. I guess that it's about 17,000 miles closer than it normally is, which is causing all of this strange weather. Strange winds, high tides, fires, sounds like Hell found its way to Earth. Now I'm just waiting for the nearby cemetary to starting overflowing with the walking dead. The real scary part is this: I looked up some information, and I guess that tonights exact date is a part of some pagan celebration. This day, this year, this month. The Rebirth of the Sun. Apparently, this being the longest night of the year, and the century, the coming dawn represents the birth of a new sun god. Something frightening arose in my mind: What if it is a stillbirth? And so begins the nightmare...

tension between cast members

by

To the other members of the cast/crew of catacombs (this is in no way pertaining to all of you: Some of you have some problems with other people in the cast and or crew. im telling you now...DONT COME TO ME ABOUT IT! If you dont like someone, deal with them! i am not going to take sides, argue with any of you, because of petty arguements! its fucking ridiculous! i am pretty damn sick of dealing with it! Also, with the Bill/Nail thing. cant you two just ignore each other and live in peace? Bill--that was not nail IMing you and messing with you. That was one of his friends and he told me so. Ive known Nail for years and hes been a good friend to me all those years, why would he lie to me. Just because Nails my friend it does NOT MEAN I AM FUCKING BACKSTABBING YOU! What the hell was the point of emailing Tim and i calling us backstabbers? I just dont get it.

I know some people just dont like other people, and thats just the way it is. But im fucking sick of being the middle man, so is tim, so is todd, so is betty, everyone is sometimes. I just cant deal with this petty bullshit fighting anymore. Deal with it yourselves from now on everyone. Im sorry in advance for those of you that had to read this that were not involved. Todd im sorry i posted here all pissed off, but i had to say this, i was trying to do the mature thing. I know youre sick of it, i am too.

THE FACTS - AND YOU ALMOST GOT IT RIGHT

by

The fact is that the people you are referring to are NOT cast members bud... the cast all gets along fine - like family - but I must admit there are some tense moments between some interns here and there - crew members - and I refuse to allow such bullshit on my set. My set is the one place people can relax and have fun. My set is for making films, not making waves. What some of these people fail to remember is that it is my set and that I control it. I want the set to always be good for people - a fun place, with very little stress (sometimes we get stressed but it happens on late shoots in caves and such), a place where people go and forget the shitty week they had or the problems at home. A place where cool stuff happens every moment. See, the odd thing is that this film has been going sooo fast we are now 4 days ahead of schedule and it has been a trouble free shoot except one bad cold day when three cars wouldn't start for actors!!! Otherwise - it has been smooth. We get it all done fast and quick. And everyone has been doing a great job acting and working on the effects and such. But the next film will be a bit different - I have decided that people will earn a place on the crew... no more interns... it is just insane - none of us EVER deal with petty nonsense - and we won't again.

Now - lets remember the one thing that matters - CATACOMBS is gonna kick so much ion the gross department - it will deliver more groceries than you can handle!!!!

See ya soon Ehren - if your butt can ever get to the set!!!

Lucio Fulci's Zombie

by

I just saw Zombie and I must say I was kinda disappointed in Fulci. It was a good movie with a good story but deffinately not enough gore. When I see a zombie film it has to be as bloody as Zombie Bloodbath. Fulci is capable of doing much better. but oh well.

hehe Silent Night Deadly Night does rule. Notice the scene with Linnea quigley when her and her boyfriend are gonna do the nasty on the pool table, when he runs upstairs he finds it necessary to put his shirt on, yet Linnea doesnt. Not that i mind or anything, back then id bang her lol. The movie had some decent gore scenes, i dunno what it is about those cheesy 80s flicks but i love em. ill take Silent Night Deadly Night and Slumber Party Massacre over Scream anyday!! Anyway all, later.

Just that, I had too much time on my hands...

SNDN rocked, I loved it but I didn't notice it being really gory, maybe I was just too into it. I'm gonna order Christmas Evil probably tomorrow (yes people, these are my ideas of christmas movies). I was hoping to find To All A Good Night directed by David Hess but I couldn't get it anywhere. From what I've heard though it isnt worth it but you know me, always having to make up my own mind and all... Anywho, I just realized that this post was a waste of time so I'll end it now. Dampton Worm

by

Ok this is not exactly a statement but it is.... Have you ever wondered why it is so damn hard to find a horror movie soundtrack? Ok sure the newer ones yeah that is easy but what about some of those that some would consider classic or cult. I have been looking and searching what seems to me to be like everywhere and to no avail for a soundtrack to the movie The Lair of The White Worm. There is just one song that I really want it is called the Dampton Worm. Now I think I know the name of the band that at least does a version of that song; They are called Macavit's Cat. The song is played at the party of Hugh Grant's. Anyway if any of you know by some fluke of the "gods" where I can get this song I will be so orgasmicaly happy.

I suggest you go to this guys site: http://pwp.starnetinc.com/jabba/ and check out what he has. He might have what you're looking for or he may possibly create what you are looking for. Horror in the Year 2000 and Beyond

by Ron

I've always thought and still think that the last great decade for horror was the 1980s, where there was plenty of variety and some real classics. The 1990s was such a bland decade for horror films, with all these sequels and remakes. Do you think that horror films will improve(i.e. better defined characters, more original plotlines) or do you think that adult horror films have ceased to be? Thoughts anyone?

P.S. Happy Holidays To All The Horror Fanatics Out There!

L' Italia e la scoperta dei fogli del Todd

by

-Ruggero

Say it ISN'T TRUE!!!!!

by

I heard through the grapevine that my favorite director, Mr. Todd (GOREMEISTER) Sheets was going to retire from the Horror business after this new movie he is shooting. A kid just told me today that he was going to take some jobs for bigger companies doing a comedy and a mystery movie or something! Say it ain't so Todd!! We all need you out here! You are the one guy I can count on to give me the gore time and time again, with a good movie to go with it. Your camera setups and editing gets better and better, the acting is getting very pro and the gore is always shown! I also love the music and the cool way that you always put fun in jokes in all your movies. I was very unsettled today and still am. I see much of Lucio Fulci's influence in you, and many of us look at you to grow and become the next great Horror director like he was and will always be. Please reply to this. Anybody else heard this crazy information?

Todd and retirement

by

Todd, retiring from the horror genre? I just have one thing to say about that... HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! Todd IS the horror genre, he lives for it, he eats breathes sleeps and shits it, it's his life. I highly doubt Todd will ever retire from it, let alone retire NOW... I dont see why he would choose now to end his career, because it appears to me at least that he is still in his prime and is just getting better and better. He still has a long way to go before he'll ever be a huge name like Carpenter, Raimi, or Fulci, but I know he will do it. He's in his prime, now just give it time...

The Facts

by

I will say that this was an odd one to find on here. I am not retiring from Horror films. I am planning on being around a while. With our current projects turning out so well, and our recent signing with Troma Films, I see bigger things coming. Blake is right... I do wanna do it my way - and that is the way for all true Horror fans-I will deliver the groceries. But it is also true that I have a fairly big comedy idea I am working on. It is set in the 80's and will still have the same "feel" of any film I do, yet it will be a bigger film and it will appeal to a larger audience. And if it takes off what will I do with any money or power we gain? I'll make another gore-filled Horror flick! No matter what else I do, I will always make Horror... Everyone needs to do something different from time to time to grow as an artist and as a director, but I will always come home and this is my first love in film and always will be....

right-o

by

Exactly. There's a difference between quitting the horror genre, and just making other films. Todd isn't quitting, but he wants to do something other than horror. What's wrong with that? John Carpenter did straight horror for years (with the exception of Elvis) and stopped to do Starman, and that thing went to the Academy Awards. Did he let that get to his head? No, he dished out some kick ass classics afterwards... Branching out into other genres may very well strengthen Todd's future projects, as he will be able to grow even more. So just tick by him and trust me, you won't be disappointed...

, but in reality I was only around the corner so in practice I never left you all alone in there. I know you get terrified, that is the whole point isn't it? I wanted that natural reaction and it was awesome... shook you up for two scenes... but the point is that you are safe and always will be on that set. Now you want scary? Try working there late at night alone... that gets bizarre... I love the place, but some things are better unknown about it - and some things are seriously stirring there... I wonder what we may wake up?

See you on the set Saturday... and your acting is improving so fast that it scares me girl... keep up the good work and thanks for always knowing the script...

Don't Go In The House

by

Don't Go In The House
Rated R / 1980

Some call it trash, other's call it a masterpiece. One thing is for sure though, it's a very underrated film. I had the pleasure of viewing it a few months back, late night on cable, and surprisingly it is a very decent film. It was obviously dished out due to the success of another slasher flick from that same year, the magnificent "Maniac" (which I consider one of the 5 greatest slasher films of all time), and even the tagline is similar (Maniac's was "I warned you not to go out tonight", DGITH's was "You have been warned"). But similarities aside, this is definately a gem... It's about this guy who was abused by his mother as a child, she used to burn his hands over a stove for "being bad", so as a lashing out, he sets women on fire. There was a cool scene I remember where he's in a disco, he has a flashback, so he lights some chicks head on fire. A classic scene, in the same vein of the infamous shotgun-to-the-head scene from Maniac (I just wish I knew which film was made first!). And there is an awesome scene at the end where a priest meets the same fiery fate! It's very reminiscent of Psycho, and contains a really cool nightmare sequence in which the killer's female victims return from the dead to haunt him. I thought that was a very chilling scene, it somehow managed to get under my skin... Not overly gory, I don't remember any terribly bloody scenes (I only started watching it at the scene with the nude chick being torched) but it definately deserves your attention, and it is unfortunate that this film has been lost in the annals of obscurity. All in all, I recommend this one! Definately an underrated, low budget horror classic...

Okay I am currently writing a script that loosely deals with the issue of abortion. So to help me out Id like to know everyones view on the subjecxt. Is it ok? Under what circumstances is it ok? Re: Abortion

by

Well, I have some views on it... I think in cases of rape, incest, abuse, etc, abortion should be, and in most places is, a god given right. Anybody should be able to have freedom of choice, if they don't want a child then they shouldn't have to have it. But I do think that if someone becomes pregnant because of her promiscuous lifestyle, i.e. a slut, then it becomes more of a matter of accepting responsibility for your actions. I guess when you get down to it, it all depends on what the circumstances of the conception of the child are.

I saw Strangeland when it first came out, I loved it! I'm surprised that some of the stuff that is it in got past the MPAA these days. It's not overtly gory, but there are some awesome torture scenes, especially one on a young girl that looked particularly painful. The soundtrack, however, was nothing more than mediocre. Normally it would ruin a film of this caliber to have a soundtrack with nothing but "today's hottest metal acts", but it didnt seem to suffer. The one thing that bothered me about this movie was the way it portrayed people in Captain Howdy's particular lifestyle (with the tattooe's and piercings) but I guess they did it in an intelligent way. I mean come on, Dee Snider wrote it, lol All in all it kicked major ass...

Hey all, i was home sick today and i read the board. Thank you todd for settin that all straight, i missed talkin about horror. So anyway, i bet you have all heard about CANNIBAL HOLOCAUST coming back to theatres courtesy of Bob and Sage at Grindhouse. I think the film will do amazingly well especially after Blair Witch, people have heard Blair Witch ripped it off so now they will see the original (and puke their guts out) These cannibal films are incredibly fun, but ive only seen a few (cannibal holocaust, cannibal ferox, and doctor butcher md) Any recomendations would be great. I am hopefully getting a dvd player for christmas, and just in time! Bay of Blood is out on DVD for 10.45 at DVDempire.com! and the HG Lewis gore trilogy hits DVD in february for 15.00 each at Reel.com! Dvd is the future!

Later all, email me if you wanna talk about rare videos and obscure gore and shit.

Blair Witch revisited

Ok, I saw "Curse of the Blair Witch" now, and while it made more sense of the "Blair Witch Project", like why that dude was standing in the corner, my own flatulance still scares me more then that movie. I still give it's props, but I swear people really think that was scary. As far as "The Haunting", well, it is absolutely beautiful to watch, but try a plot next time! I do have to give a huge thumbs up to the "Black Circle Boys" and "Zombi Holocaust", except the BCB could have used a finishing hold, and it what non-Romeroian world do zombies weild machetes? Re: Blair Witch

by

The Blair Witch Project was a horrid, unoriginal piece of cinematic garbage. It had nothing to offer but a lifted plot, intense migraines, and scare factor ZERO. 90% of the film is the three filmmakers arguing back and forth over and over, the word fuck lost its effectiveness after the 250th time it was used. The only thing that scared me about this film was the fact I paid 7 bucks to get in to see it. The hype absolutely ruined this film for me, but even had I gone into it expecting a piece of shit I would have been satisfied. I was violated. The "directors" took a 7 dollar ride up my corn chute and laughed at me all the way to the bank. This is a prime example of how audiences these days wouldnt know true horror if their lives depended on it. I honestly hope that Cannibal Holocaust is rereleased soon, even though I am almost certain that the MPAA is going to either have it yanked immediately or heavily censor it. Either way, audiences will get a taste of what REAL horror is...

Nacho Cerda Strikes Again!

by Ron

Well after seeing Nacho Cerda's lastest offering "Genesis", it really confirms that this guy is a genius. "Genesis" is thematically similar to "Aftermath", but is less graphic and much more bizarre. Like "Aftermath", it's gorgeously shot and beautifully produced. I really admire Nacho Cerda for bringing his personal and unique vision to the horror genre. If you are interested, Blackest Heart Media sells both "Genesis" and "Aftermath".
