For turrets, and rounded front windows, drape pieces of dough over cans. Soda and coffee cans are perfect and around pipes, then bake them into shapes. Cover the cans with parchment paper or foil. Masking tape is fine, to use to hold the paper on the can, and it will survive the baking process. Grease the pan lightly before you put the dough on it. You can rest the entire contraption on chopsticks so one side of your rounded structure won't flatten as it bakes.
