how old are these children??!!

Wow...last night we made 6 little elf houses in addition to our large houses and a 12 year old had fun decorating his little house but could have never assembled the pieces himself.

You should place the pieces in ziplock baggies until you can assemble them. That will keep them crisp.

I would recommend putting the pieces together yourself with royal icing on cardboard rounds... and letting them decorate them using a can of ready made icing, a plastic knife and a cup of assorted candies.

Unless they are older kids...
