After having discussed my onganizing dilemna with family I was given the perfect gift for it for Christmas. My grandchildren gave me one of those fairly large "boxes" that have many small & medium drawers (usually used for nails, screws, etc.- each drawer only a couple inches wide) I wanted to be able to pick out a candy at a glance. I put the candy in the drawers & glued one of the pieces with Royal Icing on the front of the drawer. Should I decide to not use that candy at least for a while once I run out of it I simply wash the drawer which removes the icing & put something else in that drawer & glue the "new candy" on the drawer front. Obviously some large candies (long pretzel rods & peppermint sticks) won't fit but the majority do. It holds a lot more than I anticipated. For those candies that I've got a ton of I simply put them in zip-loc bags in a "tote". I'll probably purchase another one of these handy gizmos after I fill this one. What a pleasure to look at the drawer & "spot" what you want!!! It makes our hobby so much easier!!
Happy New Year all!!!!!
