I found your message doing some research on the net. My daughter (11 yrs) and I have been doing a mother-daughter gingerbread house party every December for 7 years. This year will be our 8th year. However, we don't hold our party til the 2nd Saturday of December. Being a scrapbooker I of course have tons of pictures of every event.
We also go to the Grove Park Inn Gingerbread House Competition in NC every year---just got back. My daughter has entered every year since 2000 and has won 3rd place twice and been in the top 10 in her age group twice. I have tons of photos of that too.
Let me know if we can be of any help. We are not professionals --just gingerbread nuts when it comes to building/decorating. We dont' even like to eat them
