Response to 3D reindeer |
| I have run across a few websites that sell 3D cookie cutters. There's a place called fancyflours.com that actually has a 3D Sleigh set with reindeer. I cannot determine how large the sleigh and reindeer are, but if you look at their website you might be able to figure out how to do it.
This year I surrounded my gingerbread houses with little gingerbread boys--they looked like they were holding hands all the way around the house. At first I had trouble getting them to stand up, but I hit upon a solution. It was a Mickey Mouse solution, but a solution nonetheless. I took midget Tootsie Rolls, cut them in half lengthwise and then cut each half into four pieces. With royal icing I "glued" a little piece of Tootsie Roll to the back of each gingerbread boy (right at the very bottom in the center) and then allowed them to dry upright (so they looked like a little army) overnight. The next day I simply "glued" each boy to the board by putting a wee bit of icing under each foot and under the Tootsie Roll along with a dab on the hand that I wanted to join with the next one. They were too cute!!!
Good luck! |
