You might try a local public library with back issues that go back about forty years- for that long ago, you might try the MAIN branch of your local library, or contact one of the main libraries in a major metropolitan area, like Chicago or New York- then look in the November and December issues around that time- I'm a librarian and this might work! Did you try just contacting the people at the Ladies Home Journal magazine- they'd probably charge you, but that would be the best source of all.
