Shellac...?

To whom it my concern..
I posted a short statement on the Yahoo Group gingerbread site. I mentioned the I spray shellac on my gingerbread pieces befor putting everything together. It keeps the moisture out.Anyway I got a responce that it was not food and the gingerbread Gods would not approve of it.
I guess I should of used the culinary term for shellac, and maybe that wouldn't of upset some people. Ok..here than, I spray a product called Confectioners Glaze "shellac" on my gingerbread creations. This product can be bought on the Sugarcraft site or any ACE Hardware store, but if you go to a ACE Hardware store asked for a spray can of shellac.
