If you are using a regular pastry bag, (not disposable) I find it easier to wrap the frosting in little bundles of plastic wrap, maybe 2 cups in each. Then you just take a scissors and snip on end of the bundle and slide it into your pastry bag. When empty, pull out plastic and snip and slide another bundle in. It is alot less messy and prevents back up frosting from drying out.
