You can keep searching through older posts in the index, but it shouldn't be necessary. That should be plenty to get you started.
Check out the recipes posted at www.ultimategingerbread.com, and there are some good step by step housebuilding instructions posted at www.bobvila.com (go the main page and search for "gingerbread house").
I'd suggest that you make a practice house by yourself before you commit to a party, just so you know what you are getting yourself (and your guests) into. That being said, gingerbread parties are lots of fun and the fun comes from sharing the activity, not in making perfect constructions.
