You probably have your castle built by now. Just in case you're still looking, there's a castle pattern in the book "Gingerbread Houses: Baking & Building Memories" by Nonnie Cargas. I haven't made it yet, but it's rated as "moderately easy." The essense of the design follows: four walls with brick exterior. On the top of the walls a ---!___!---!___ design. The doorway and windows are arched cutouts. The roof is one flat piece. There are upside down sugar cones on the roof. Each cone has a flag on a stick coming out of the cone top. The cut out from the doorway is used for the drawbridge and sits flat. |
