hi i never noticed you mention this idea and its a really neat one so here it is. after your already cut gingerbread pieces have been half baked, crush up coloured hard, clear candy. putting smooth tim foil with veg. oil underneath the window area and bake for remaining time. Windows will look like stained glass, translucent and letting the light shine out of your house to display stained glass windows. Be careful not to put candy in too soon, or by the time your breads cooked the candy will be overcooked and bubble and ruin the plat panes of candy glass!
