Response to Vegan gingerbread house

If you live in a relatively dry area, you can just use melted sugar to stick the house together.

Make sure that you have all of your house pieces nearby and ready to go. You will have to work quickly. Make sure that no children are in the kitchen. It helps to have another adult helper.

Heat sugar in a pan until it melts. Don't stir it until it is melted, then watch very carefully and remove it from the heat when it starts browning. The temp will continue to rise even after you take it off the burner, and it will continue to brown.

Working quickly, dip the side of one of the gingerbread pieces into the melted sugar and quickly attach it to another piece, working one piece at a time.

This method won't work very well if you live in a humid environment, as the sugar will start to sweat after a day or two.
