Ferris Wheel Size

Response to Re: Gingerbread Ferris Wheel

Thank you so much for getting back to me - I've been out of town and away from the computer or I would have responded to your offer for help sooner.

In terms of size, I'm thinking of something that could hold at least four passenger cars. I'm thinking the cars, at minimum need to be about three inches wide and an inch and half deep and high. I would like for them to "hold" candy - i.e., - a handful of tootsie rools or some such.

In my head I envison something that is two wheels that has spokes and some sort of cross supports - and figuring the sides of the cars would be "glued" to the inside of the wheels. Does that make sense? I can't figure out the physics of it in terms of size and strength and of course, I'm totally flumoxed when it comes to the base.

So I've probably rambled too much, but if you have any ideas you would like to share, I would appreciate it.

Thansk in advance,

Susan
