I have never made a gingerbread house before but myself and a couple of other neighborhood moms are going to give it a try this year. Since we are novices, would you recommend going with a mold or trying out a pattern? When I downloaded some instructions from King Arthur, I noticed that there bread in the pics looks like it came from a mold.

Also, if you do suggest a mold -- is there a particular brand that you have had success with?
