Bush/Hussein/Iraq March 17th Deadline

March 17 2003 at 9:27 AM

Hello all,

Here is a short piece I compiled yesterday in the event that George W Bush would start attacking Saddam Hussein/Baghdad/Iraq today... As yet, there has been no evidence that Bush and his administration has made any move yet. I sincerely hope the UN can calm him to the effect that this imminent, and yet, unnecessary, attack is stopped. Bush has proven to be as bad as Hussien and Bin Laden, the terrorists Bush has set out to destroy (and many millions of innocent lives too!!) but all he has proved is that he is as bad as them, if not worse!!

*If you are an American and you are reading this, I am not doing this to insult you. I am trying to make a point as to how Bush is coming across to me, an Irish citizen. We, the Irish, have had many dealings with the Americans over the decades and I totally disagree that Bertie Ahern is letting Bush use Shannon as a stop-over for the US's fighter planes on the way over to the Gulf*

Here it is: please tell me what you think of it and whatever your opinion is on it.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

""George W Bush is a terrorist, just like Saddam Hussein and Osama Bin Laden! Would you agree? I believe the force and tactics he has taken is uncalled for and may cause more innocent deaths than if he didn’t start this war. This planet has seen more battles and wars than are necessary and who can say whether not there will be any survivors at all if Bush keeps up his “Anti-terrorist” campaign. He’s as much a terrorist as Bin Laden and Hussein!!

By starting a war on March 17th, St Patrick’s Day, what is he (Bush) trying to prove? That he is as big at starting fights as he father was? That the USA is the best country in the world for dealing, hands on, with all the terrorists in the world?

The Al-Qaeda poses as big as threat as Hussein, and yet Bush seems to have neglected his hunting down and killing of all Bin Laden’s henchmen... Why is that? Is he just out to settle every score ever made against the United States? Is he still hunting down Bin Laden while publicly shooting down Hussein? And to what end, and whose advantage, will a war, if started, gain his reputation and that of the USA? As terrorist hunters turned terrorists?!

I think George W should recall his oath his president and set about protecting his nation and his people against further attacks, not by going after the revolutionaries who have it in for him, for adopting his father’s ideals? This man is a contradiction upon himself and should not be in the White House!! Despite the reputation he got for himself as a philanderer, even Bill Clinton would not adopt such drastic action… I think that man should have been re-elected and then the States might stand a chance.

Another point to consider, Hussein is said to be in the process of destroying his missiles and germ warfare... Does Bush not believe him? After all, Hussein let UN Weapons Inspectors back into Iraq to total his arsenal and therefore in future, destroy them? So why is Bush still carrying out his agenda?

I cannot answer these questions... I am merely looking for answers to questions that seem unending. Who is the better man, or the worst civilian? Hussein for starting to destroy his deadly arsenal of weapons, Bush for attempting to shoot him down while Hussein is doing what is asked of him! Ponder this before you go to bed tonight, for if George W Bush has his way, we may well wake up to war on March 17th!!! ""

Did we ever stop?

April 1 2003, 2:27 AM

Er....
For the last twelve years there has been a No Fly Zone over Iraq. That bassicaly meant that although the US and UK were not at war with Iraq they could still fly planes over the area, and blow up anything they liked.
Have we been thrown back into war, or did we never stop to begin with?

Food For Thought

April 4 2003, 6:20 PM

I thought that this might be an appropriate place to put this.

Yup .....
This is rather a lengthy email, but it provides food for thought.
And besides, with such an important subject as this, what is too long?

Subject: Powerful Article - London Daily Mirror

Christopher Graham writes:
London Daily Mirror: No matter what your views on President Bush's
statement of upcoming war, this, from an English journalist, is very
interesting.
Just a word of background for those of you who aren't familiar with the UK's Daily Mirror.
This is a notoriously left-wing daily that is normally not supportive of the Colonials across the Atlantic.

Tony Parsons ... Daily Mirror ... September 11, 2002

One year ago, the world witnessed a unique kind of broadcasting
-- the mass murder of thousands, ... live ... on television.
As a lesson in the pitiless cruelty of the human race,
September 11, was up there with Pol Pot's Mountain of Skulls in Cambodia, or the skeletal bodies stacked like garbage in the Nazi concentration camps.
An unspeakable act so cruel, so calculated and so utterly merciless that surely the world could agree on one thing - nobody deserves this fate!
Surely there could be consensus:
The victims were truly innocent, the perpetrators truly evil.
But to the world's eternal shame, 9/11 is increasingly seen as America's
comeuppance.
Incredibly, anti-Americanism has increased over the last year.

There has always been a simmering resentment to the USA in this country;
They’re too loud, too rich, too full of themselves, and so much happier than
Europeans -- but it has become an epidemic.
And it seems incredible to me.

More than that, it turns my stomach.
America is this country's greatest friend and our staunchest ally.
We are bonded to the US by culture, language and blood.
A little over half a century ago, around half a million Americans died for our freedoms, as well as their own.
Have we forgotten so soon?
And exactly a year ago, thousands of ordinary men, women and children -- not just Americans, but from dozens of countries -- were butchered by a small group of religious fanatics.
Are we so quick to betray them?
What touched the heart about those who died in the Twin Towers and on the planes, was that we recognized them. Young fathers and mothers, somebody's son and somebody's daughter, husbands, wives, and
children, some unborn.
And these people brought it on themselves?
Their nation is to blame for their meticulously planned slaughter?
These days you don't have to be some dust-encrusted nut job in Kabul or Karachi or Finsbury Park to see America as the Great Satan.
The anti-American alliance is made up of self-loathing liberals who blame the Americans for every ill in the Third World, and conservatives suffering from power-envy, bitter that the world's only superpower can do what it likes without having to ask permission.

The truth is that America has behaved with enormous restraint since September 11.
Remember... remember... remember... the gut-wrenching tapes of weeping men phoning their wives to say, "I love you," before they were burned alive?
Remember those people leaping to their deaths from the top of burning skyscrapers.
Remember the hundreds of firemen buried alive.
Remember the smiling face of that beautiful little girl who was on one of the planes with her mum.
Remember... remember...
And realize that America has never retaliated for 9/11 in anything like
the way it could have.

So a few al-Qaeda tourists got locked up without a trial in Camp X-ray? Pass the Kleenex.
So some Afghan wedding receptions were shot up after they merrily fired their semi-automatics in a sky full of American planes?
A shame, but maybe next time they should stick to confetti.

AMERICA could have turned a large chunk of the world into a parking lot.
That it didn't is a sign of strength.
American voices are already being raised against attacking Iraq -- that's what a democracy is for.
How many in the Islamic world will have a minute's silence for the slaughtered innocents of 9/11?
How many Islamic leaders will have the guts to say that the mass murder of 9/11 was an abomination?
When the news of 9/11 broke on the West Bank, those freedom-loving Palestinians were dancing in the street.
America watched all of that -- and didn't push the button.

We should thank the stars that America is the most powerful nation in the
world.
I still find it incredible that 9/11 did not provoke all-out war.
Not a "war on terrorism."
A real war.
The fundamentalist dudes are talking about "opening the gates of hell" if America attacks Iraq.
Well, America could have opened the gates of hell like you wouldn't believe.
The US is the most militarily powerful nation that ever strode the face of the
earth!

The campaign in Afghanistan may have been less than perfect and the
planned war on Iraq may be misconceived.
But don't blame America for not bringing peace and light to these wretched countries.
How many democracies are there in the Middle East, or in the Muslim world?
You can count them on the fingers of one hand -- assuming you haven't had any chopped off for minor shoplifting.

I love America, yet America is hated.
I guess that makes me Bush's poodle.
But I would rather be a dog in New York City than a Prince in Riyadh.

Above all, America is hated because it is what every
country wants to be -- rich, free, strong, open, optimistic.
Not ground down by the past, or religion, or some caste system.
America is the best friend this country ever had and we should start remembering that.
Or do you really think the USA is the root of all evil?
Tell it to the loved ones of the men and women who leaped to their death from the burning towers.
Tell it to the nursing mothers whose husbands died on one of the
hijacked planes, or were ripped apart in a collapsing skyscraper.
And tell it to the hundreds of young widows whose husbands worked for the New York Fire Department.

To our shame, George Bush gets a worse press than Saddam
Hussein.
Once we were told that Saddam gassed the Kurds, tortured his own
people and set up rape-camps in Kuwait.
Now we are told he likes Quality Street.
Save me the orange center, Oh Mighty One!
Remember... remember... September 11.

One of the greatest atrocities in human history was committed against America!
No, do more than remember.
Never forget.
Pass it on.

First Order Of Business ......

Welcome to the Faery Garden Kaiser Soze.
~ curtsies ~
It’s nice to see new names stopping in to take a look about the place and add a thought or two, to those already here.
I’ll sincerely hope that you take the time to look through some of the other threads / topics .... as well as this one.

The opinions of others are always welcome here in the Garden ... though I can just about guarantee ... your perceptions may meet with opposition ... anyway ... it seems that mine almost always do!!! ..... LmaoOOOoooooo

But then ... here’s me thinking that it’s “contrast,” that keeps ye old “gray matter” from becoming to settled, and thus stagnant!! ... eh’ ???

Second order of business .... Terrorists!!!
And in particular ..... Noraid!!!

Sheeeeeeeesh ..... I’m ashamed that it’s true!!

We Americans have foolishly contributed millions, maybe billions ... of US dollars to fund the Sinn Fein .... and in so doing .... unknowingly ... have supported the Irish republic’s own Gerry Adams!!! .... Who (as everyone knows ) ... almost single handedly .... holds the leash of the IRA!!!
And that of course includes his key terrorist thug .... Martin McGuinness!!!
~muttering colourful ... unladylike things ~
And “they” daily, exact their own special brand of Terrorism on the Ulster people of Northern Ireland !!!

There’s an old saying that sad enough, but true .... says that .....
“it’s the squeaky wheel that gets the grease” ....
Well it’s the Sinn Fein / Gerry Adams, who squeaks and whines and squeaks and blathers on and on ... till he has everyone’s ear!!!!
I just wish people would wake up and see the Sinn Fein for what they Really Are!!!

I’ve been working on a web site ... it’s not much really, because I just don’t have the kind of skills it takes to build the incredible / professional web site that I want to .... but ..... ~sighs~ .....
I have included the addy to my “Noraid” page.
Anyone who’s interested in what my view of Noraid is .....
Is more then welcome to take a look!!!
And I would love to hear your feed back about the page!!!
It’s connected to my “Dove’s Northern Ireland Site” ... which is FAR FAR from being “sort of” even CLOSE ... to being finished!!! ... LOL

So if you decide to wander about the rest of the site .... bare that in mind!!

Again .... welcome Soze!!!
Walk in balance and light!!
