erm .... I’d like to bid you all “Welcome” ...
But I highly suspect ... in fact .....
I’d bet someone’s else’s right arm ... ~ wink ~ ....
That > Most < of the “New” names appearing here .... are just people we all ready know using incognito personas.

LOL ... sometimes there’s no harm in that.
Can’t say as I haven’t done it a time or two myself, just for the fun of being able to post as someone different!!

Maybe you simply want to post from a different perspective.
And the post would somehow be inappropriate being posted by the name everyone knows you by.
Maybe you just feel the need to express yourself in the form of a different
personality.

Like I said ..... I think using different names to post, is an ok thing to do.
Depending on the “WHY” of your reason for doing it!!

If it’s simply done in good fun .... good on ya mate!!!
If the reason is no other but to stir trouble .... Beware!!

The meaning seams pretty clear to me.

So, though I admit to on “rare occasions” ... having looked in on this forum, and another forum belonging to the same person .... I have never posted there because quite frankly .... Why would I post somewhere where I knew I was unwelcome ... making any post I might feel inclined to make, uninvited and thus ... inappropriate.

The rules created by “that” forum owner seem to be fair enough, and so ....
Though I’ve never really felt a need for rules here in the Faery Garden .... Maybe the same rules “there” ... need to be applied here?

I’d be interested to know what all of you think about any of this.

Do you think it’s ok to post “incognito?
Is there an appropriate time and place for posting under a different nic?

You'll always have the unnamed posters. It is fair to say that you will always get the insulters as well. It is also fair to say that if you like them the insults will be let go and if you dislike a person then you will have a go at them for any insulting words. That is called keeping within a small group of friends. I have read posts today by two Sein Fein leaders. The same poster no doubt. Your best buddy. What you refer to about The Graveyard is old because The Graveyard is no longer there. That forum board is no longer used. If a post was deemed to be having a go at any person or people it was always removed. But, like here, only a select number of people used that forum. Nobody who wasn't known by others. But with the new forum you can ban people and membership only is accepted. That takes away the unknown posters and you can select who you want on your forum. This sort of forum is an open one were anybody can post. At most a post can be deleted. But to delete one post a whole thread goes with it. As you looked over at The Graveyard what is wrong with me looking over here ? If I was to be honest I didn't even know you had a forum till the address was sent to me. I won't say by who. Just a forum user. But you say about this like and dislike thing. How if a person is not wanted on a forum why would they bother posting ? The odd harmless post is nothing. Where you may have struggled over my user name until sheep were mentioned I know that those people who always knew me had no trouble known me with the J Simpson bit at the end of the name. Something people are familiar with. Wasn't hiding from them. Saw no need to use my other name as I knew you may not like to see it. So really was doing my best to not rock the boat and just keep the posts restricted to those old friends who would know it was me. My words concerning Bono was something he would laugh at. Kangaroos have been a joke for many a year now. Write up a simple bit of humour asking not to insult the chap by saying he was me and I was him. It was just something he would again laugh at. Fear not I have no intentions of posting over here. That is what you want. But I have other places I do be. Fact is I just looked over after the address was sent to me. It was just a one of post. More having as laugh with an old mate ( Bono ) who I haven't seen in ages. Not at you or any of your other users. PeterPan and FX are friends too. All part of the old TT's place. So no offence meant by posting a post. Wasn't hiding. As the post was meant for others, who would know it was me, I used an old name. Didn't want to alarm anybody. Have to add in that for somebody who wrote to me a few weeks ago asking about help locating images. Help which I tried to give. You would think you would allow a whole post to go unnoticed without causing a normal scene over it. Making a big announcement that ' He is back '. Because that is what your post is doing if you want to admit it or not. The mention of my site and all of that. Post aimed at me. But I am gone. Just, as I said, over to say to those names I have known years and nothing more.

Hey I see the little puppies are still around to look after their master. Fetch boy ! Oh I think I may hang around now. Now that I see people are getting a little bit annoyed and insulting. Makes it all the more worth while. I was been civil. But as Dove's puppies are not well trained in manners and I love to see their words of hate so much it is worth looking over nightly just for laughter purposes.
