Right here is a topic to start off with... Your top five songs of all time here are mine 1. Wind beneath my wings (Bette Midler) 2. The Rose (Bette Midler) 3. Wedding Song (Tracy Chapman) 4. Vincent (Don Maclean) 5. Unforgettable (Nat King and Natalie Cole) Dont I sound like a sado!!!...oh well they truly are my top five...although i am a serious lover of music and singing they all hold a special place in my heart... Anybody care to tell theirs?

It reflects my moods ... enhances, or can serve to soften my moods ...
It can help me get through bad moments in life.
Stirs my sometimes stagnant mind ...

ohh.. that's a tuffy... I have lots and lots of favorites..not sure I could narrow it down to just five.. and then of course they seem to change as new things come out... sighs

my favorite top few at the moment I think would have to be:

Staind "Now that We're Here".. brand new and not sure if that's the exact title

Three Doors Down "When I'm Gone" <---HUGE favorite

Long time favs are:

The Who "Behind Blue Eyes"

Collective Soul "December ...er..something??"
or is it just December??

Dovie,

That is just too hard to answer because my music tastes depends what's in the charts, my mood etc.

One absolute favourite is "Everything I Do (I Do For You)" by Bryan Adams". I will always love that song... no matter what!

I do have other favourites though I can't think of them all right now. I could easily tell you what bands/groups/artists I like and that would give you an idea what kind of music I like.

Too many songs, so little time... LOL Bye all.

I didnt recognise your song but you know what - thats what makes people different and the lyrics were quite beautiful! My songs all have a far deeper meaning to me.. but I honestly have many many more favourites...those are just the top five that mean more to me than just the music with words attached.

Keep up the posting...Doc..where are you? Does you log in not work yet??

hieeeee birdie...

awwwwww isnt my baby just the sweetest thing...loves the rattle you got it - thank you so much - noisy little so and so now tho...keeps me awake half the night...the price of parenthood!!!

I am a bit knackered on this one - only Nickleback song I can think of that would be fitting is Hero.

Ahem...preparing my best nickleback voice...."I believe that a hero will save us I am not going to stand here and wait I hold on to the wings of a hero and watch as they all fly away" (not a very good rendition sorry he he)

I think "House Of The Rising Sun" was the very first song I ever learned to play on a guitar ... but after that one .... It Was Cat Steven ALL THE WAY!!!!
Peace Train was the first one.
Moon Shadow after that .... and I still play all the bits and pieces from "Tea For The Tillerman"

That is a good one...One of my favs also...
Dove and Char know that music is me....I am addicted to music. It is a very tough task to name just 5 songs though.....Prepare yourselves. My music spectum has a wide range...From Classical..IE Chopin..To the 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's..AND on through Hiphop, gangster Rap...(love Eminem) to thrashin hardcore Death metal, such as Disturbed....

I couldn't only do 5, but I can narrow the list down to Ten...However Last kiss, is my all time favorite song, and has been since I was a very small girl.
My dad used to sing it to me.....Each and every song on my list hold a special place in my heart.
There is a Chris Ledoux song entitled "melodies and memories" The song holds truth in how a certain melodie can take you back in time...Brings back memories....Music is a reflection of self. Each song holds different meaning...The lyric's open a window into someone's heart....into their mind, into their soul....Music is one of the greatest gifts ever given.

1/ And i have to agree with casalyn here and go with
last kiss, only i will go with the pearl jam version..

2/ Jump-van halen dave le roth he the man

3/ Rearview mirror-pearl jam in my eyes the greatest rock band ever

4/ Sail away-david gray one of the best singers this country has produced every song he sings touches the heart..

5/ Tracy chapman-wedding song..Because it's special

lots and lots more could have been included..such as deep purple..led zep...thin lizzy...currently listening to lots of rage against the machine..wow there good, but i have been banned by boo from playing it within 400 miles of her ears ha ha..sheesh women have no taste in music...
