The store I went to today also holds the Swedish Urtekram products (shampoos, conditioners etc). Any Swedish ladies here that can give us a product review?

I've heard it discussed here on the boards, I think, but I can't remember by whom. It might have been Wildhoney, Valentina or Katrine.

I'm from Sweden, and I haven't really heard about those products before. But now you got me interested. I've also stepped away from the cones for a while. My hair didn't get plasticy-Barbie, but it felt a little dry after a while. The cones were wonderful at first, but then they didn't do anything for my hair anymore. Now I'm trying natural products. But on the other hand the cones were the only thing that worked for my hair a few months back when it was dry and broken. So I guess that's my future routine. All natural for a while, then all cones for a while, because I can't seem to find the right balance.

But now I'm rambling, back to Urtekram. Maybe you've already seen this site, but here's the link to the company:

If I find any Urtekram products in the Swedish stores I'll be sure to try them out. The last natural product I tried was L'Erbolario (Italian) and it worked wonders for my hair. Check it out!

It seems Urtekram even sells their products in the US, BTW:

a lot of discussion about Decylpolyglucose. (the conclusion was btw that Urtekram uses corn AND coconut in their shampoos). But a few opinions about the products as well. I still use their conditioners.

++soap based shampoos.... maybe they're not for me, then.++

I've found soap based shampoos to work really well, but for me they absolutely, positively, without-a-question-of-a-doubt require a vinegar rinse afterwards. It gets rid of any residual soap (which is what causes the "coated" feel that people in the thread referenced above complained about).

Anyhoo... It may be that soap-based-shampoos just don't work at all for you, but I thought I'd mention that, if that's the reason why you're hesitant to use them.

Cheers,
Jonobie

Thanks for the explanation about the vinegar rinses. I might try a soap-based shampoo just to see how it works, and then use it inbetween my SLS-products. I have a problem with SLS & Co and an itchy scalp, so maybe a soap based shampoo is the solution. At least every once in a while.

Thanks!
