Well Folks I had a Great night at the pulls last night.
Not so much cuz I did really good ... but because I finally got my Truck to hook to the track in both classes..

The Pull was at Suring WI.. One of the shortest tracks we pull on here.. But it was in really good shape, and they did a Great job at keeping it in good shape for each class.

Now the Suring Eliminator was one of the sleds I really didn't like, Cuz it was a Dead weight sled that didn't have any pull down on your truck at all, Light up your tires and hope it hooks to the track.. Well After 5 years of hearing me complain about it they had a meeting and voted on making some changes to the sled, the changes they made really help too put some tug and the back of your truck as you leave the line now... Totally changes how the sled pulls now.. I'm happy with it.

Now to the pulls...

Super Stock:
I was the 6th puller out of 10 trucks, and after the first truck pulled they reset the sled. So I was now the 5th truck... First few trucks to go down the track made it to the 1/2 to 3/4 mark and I was telling myself, they set it to tight again... But I hooked to the sled and figured I'd give it my best.. Well I eased it off the line and rolled it out to the 50' mark as I lied into the throttle And the tach climbed to 6500 to 6800 RPM's I could feel the sled back there but it didn't feel like it was slowing me down like it use too.. I quick did a mirror check to make sure the weight box was coming up.. And it was there right too the top of the sled and I was still going like hell.. Hot Dame took it to the fence FULL PULL.... Well pulled on too the trailer to get ready to change tires and went back to the track to watch the rest of the trucks pull... Well the next truck was Jack Peters and he broke the front drive shaft at 1/2 track.. Next up was Bruce Wagner He took it out the end also then came Travis Emmes he was out the end also and then came Dean Wagner the last puller in the class and he pulled it out also.. So We had 4 trucks that made it out the end and the First Pull Off this season..

So after they made there adjustment to the sled I was first up..
So I stuck to my guns and drove it the same way I did the first time. I eased it off the line and rolled it out to the 50' mark as I lied into the throttle And the tach climbed to 6000 to 6500 RPM's this time I could feel the sled Tugging at the back of my Truck, but ShaZam wouldn’t give up, When the dust settled I was 20 feet from another full pull.. It was a good hook ShaZam did the best she could.

So now the sit and see who's going to get me.. Well Bruce was up next and he stopped 7" behind me, Travis was 2" behind Bruce and Dean finished just 1" behind Travis.. So Hey that means I took 1st place..... COOL Beans .........

So change To the Bar Tires for Mod.. Where we had 8 trucks in that class and I was puller number 5 in the line up.
I pretty much drove it the same way as I did before and ended up placing 3rd in Mod ...
So at the second to last pull of the year I finally got ShaZam to work good on the track.. This weekend will be the last pulls of the year with one in Lena on Friday night and Two on Saturday ... Then I'll go into my Blue Funk mode for the next month or so due to lack of Pull Truck Exhaust.

Awesome job. Good thing you didn't come to Earl Park. They loosely followed IPA rules, and made anyone setup for ITPA Altered run against IPA pro stock. Mainly because they don't allow aluminum intakes in their Altered class. So, I came in dead last in the pro stock class. But the truck ran good and got a distance of 249 and change pulling that pro stock sled and we didn't break anything, so I'm not going to complain too much hehe.
