I first got intersted in trucks , in Mi where i went to a pull and watched a then unknown guy named Bob, drive his 79 ford truck over a bunch of cars crushing them, the trucks name was bigffot, and it was one of its first public outings, and if not, its first major one, as the truck was swarmed with excited people. For then on it was all about the fwd's when everyone else was going chevelle nova down the road, i was in a fwd. I have been around pulls ever since, even when i was overseas.
For the last ten years I have been involved with NTPA/midsouth pullers, working on prostocks, silver bullet II and Eliminator, and a few years ago i was asked to help start the KenTen pullers.

Who Where and What
January 1 2007, 11:14 AM
My name is Lee Benson. Im from Hollister,CA . Its about 45 miles south of San Jose,ca-25 miles east of the Monterey Bay.
Some may know Hollister from Fourwheeler magazine. Its where they hold the Top Truck Challenge. We have a very nice offroad 4x4 and Motorcycle park
I do not own a pulling truck. I do work alot on my Brother In Law's truck. I helped him build it this last year and its the first dedicated pull truck either of us have built or been around. Its his truck and Im the "bucket bitch" (Term used when we used to show horses. Kinda like a crewmember but not as glamorous)
The truck is a 79 Chevy D60/14bolt with a 468 . We run in whats called the 5500lb street modified class. Truck did well but we are still sorting it out..Took 8th out of 32 and 8th out of 24 at the larger pulls this year. Took 10th out of 18 when going head to head against the next class up the 6000lb super stock class being down 500 lbs and not having a solid suspension.
My current toy is a 71 Toyota Landcruiser FJ40 that I built-It has a SBC 350/Th350/Dana60 front/ 14 bolt rear/ Hydraulic steering/ Detroit lockers/ 5:13s and 42" SuperSwampers.
Grew up in the family's auto repair shop. Learned alot and enjoy working on cars/trucks for fun..not day in and day out. Im in sales and work for Milgard Windows. We manufacture residential windows for houses and such.
Hello. My name is Bedford Sharp.
I pull a '79 F-350 in a 6200lb Street Class. We pull in Virginia and West Virginia. I go to about 7 pulls a year but have missed a few due to repairing or sorting out problems. I have run the truck this go round for the last three years. Several years ago I ran the truck when you could bolt on a few things, drive it on the road and still be very competive. Unlike now the truck is a dedicated pulling truck. I started pulling again for some family fun and something we could all share in. I have a little guy who is 5 years old and he can't get enough of seeing the trucks.
We usually have a large field of trucks. The picture I wanted to post was at a fair pull. That I came in 5th out of 46 trucks. But I can't get it loaded.
I work at a textile print shop where we print household floor mats and carpet. I am a supervisor for the Prepress/Printing dept.
I'll try tonight again to figure out how to get my pic. loaded.
- Name... Chris Vanatta
- Hometown... Glenwood, IA (about 20 miles South of Omaha, NE)
- I'm a Network Administrator
- Truck is a 1979 Ford F250 called YES DEERE...
- I pull with the Nebraska Power Pullers (NPPA www.nepowerpullers.com )in the 2wd Street Modified class.
- My buddy and I built the truck in a few months time last year and ran in 5 pulls last year.
- Hope to build a new motor this year and pull more competitively.

True, true. very nice though. Then again, the hood is interchangable if you change fenders and all.
Who knows what could happen in fourty years.
