Hey man. I didn't realize that you were that close to me. I was actually in Lincoln last weekend to get a part for my plow and stop at The Fort but is was closed. I don't know how much you are around here in the summer but have you thought about building your truck up to run with Power Pullers? I would think it would be closer then most of the CO pulls (unless you are back there during the summer). Just a thought.

Not hard at all if you meet the rules.

Rules meeting is this weekend so that could change a bit but I doubt much.

re Rules

CB
I was reading your rules, (don't know why as I'll never pull there) and a few of them appear to conflict.

5. No body alterations allowed with the exception of the following: floor of box including inner fenders but must have a cover over box, stock fuel tank, heater box, rear springs, inner front fender can be removed, hood can be tilt and holes cut to allow for headers and air cleaner, no open hood, battery and spark plugs must be covered. Stock seats can be removed

7. Stock appearing pickup. No gutting of truck except heater box, gas tank and floor of box. Front bumper must be on truck.

*In rule 5, it says stock fuel tank, but in rule 7 it seems to say that you can gut the stock fuel tank, seems contradictory to me.*

8. Original suspension blocked only, front and rear allowed.

*Does this mean ladder bars or some other reinforcement is allowed?*

9. Cepek. Goodyear, firestone or dot approved bar tires-(cutting allowed) with technical inspection approval. Foot print for standard tire 31" x 15.5" x 15", cut foot print 33" x 15.5" x 15".

*Never heard of DOT approved bar tires who makes them?* Most organizations won't allow bar tires in the Street modified classes.

Jimmy, No small blocks that I know of in that class but there is one in our 2wd class. Some of those trucks are pretty hot. I know that one of them went to Wisner and pulled ProStock 4x4 with the Outlaws (just changed to DOT tires).

Allan, Quite honestly I haven't read the 4x4 rules too much. Trust me when I say that the bed can be gutted and I think you can have solid suspension. I do but I am a 2wd. I will try to get them to make some better rules after the meeting. I think they were saying either DOT approved or bar tires are allowed. Yes we can run bar tires on our trucks.
