Ok guys I know we have talked about this some. But I need more info.
If my motor was sucking the oil pan dry (9qts) what would the bearings look like ???? Would the mains look the same as the rods ??? How would the piston skirts look ??

maybe use high pressure instead of high volume

an option. But I'm not sure that is what is happening , meaning maybe I wasn't pumping the pan dry.
I was hoping someone could shed some light on what the bearings would look like if they had been run dry.
The rod bearings were toast. I mean the worst I have ever seen. Now granted I haven't looked at hundreds of sets.
I guy at the engine shop said " it was a good thing I shut it down when I did because one would have stuck and we would of had a spun bearing very shortly"
But we looked at the mains and they didn't look bad at all. I was wondering if that is normal if the pan had been pumped dry.
