What air pressure are most of you running front and rear with bfg's? Do you change it on loose vs. tight tracks. Also Are any of your running 33/12.50/16.5 on 12" wheels.

Since I am not running BFGs I woudn't recommend any specific air pressures, that said I would be very careful to not run to low a pressure with the 12" tire on a non bead lock wheel.

JMHO! Bret

On that note most of us in our association have been runnin around 8 psi front, 50-60 rear

we also pull in a street modified class (the second video i posted last week shows the usual trucks we run with)
and run about the same pressures as ken posted earlier (8 psi front, 50-60 rear) with bfg a/ts, we have since switched to the trxus a/t and run about 45 psi in the rear and left the front the same. Most of the tracks around here though are hard clay, so it may work or may not.

re Trxus

No personal experience with them, but I have been told that they are a great tire, but require a lot of HP to turn them.

we're running 33x12.50x16 trxus, they're the hardest hooking tire we've tries so far, out of eight different sets including 33" and 35" of bfg a/ts. They also seem to work well on all track conditions we've run into. the last time we tried the bfg's we couldn't get any traction and just spun out at 200 ft. The sets we have are only 1/4 to 1/2 tread left, newer ones seem to work better on the other trucks that run them. There are a couple of trucks that we pull against that also run the trxus, we would go back and forth on who beat who when we were running m/t baja claws but we've beat them every time since we switched. I don't know how the larger sizes would work, we are limited to a 35" tire.

re Tires

Tires were discussed in in a previous post, here is a link to that post
http://www.network54.com/Forum/228279/thread/1168601990/

The consensus is that the BFG A/T's are about the best all around choice for what it's worth.

A couple of guys run the trxus around my area. I will say that they hook hard, but it seems that when they pu tthem on the started breaking a lot more drivetrain parts.

I am in the western part of the state. Bath Co. We don't really have a club to pull with. Sometimes we do pull with Temple Brensidine Org. Over around Fishersville and Afton. He has a track and an Org. near Tappahannock.
I run the 6200 Mod Street. But here because no one has a club or organization. The rules are pretty lose. Run whatcha brung and hope you brung enough. Most of the promoters are Fire departments etc. trying to raise money. Our class is by far the biggest as for number of trucks and probably what brings in the most people. So no one will step up the the plate and put in rules and enforce them.
This is a true story. I was in a drivers meeting and it was the first time I had pulled at this place and the guy having the meeting said " I only have one rule. Don't cheat ! Now lets go have a good pull."
