Headers

Need some help finding headers. I have a buddy that is wanting to put 2" tube headers on his truck. It is a coil spring truck 78 Ford.
He ordered the stahl weldup kit but they won't work. Hedman and Maddogs seem to be designed the same and they hit the frame. L&L are to small of tubes.
I didn't know if anyone else here knew of any other company that made headers to fit a Ford or not.

My Maddog headers were hitting the frame also and I started grinding down the frame, then looking at the other side, the header was 2" up from the frame. The motor had torqued over and was sitting crooked. I loosened up the motor mounts and got it strait again. I see where it is going back again. Think I'll put a chain on it.

Hookers

The only ones I have seen from Hooker are their engine swap headers and they are inside the frame with 1 3/4" or 1 7/8" tubes. If they are running over the frame ones I sure would be interested to find out more.
The problem with the headers hitting the frame on this guys truck is because the motor sits low to clear the body. He has put a Ranger body on a full size frame and it is tight.

I'll ask

He maybe interested in making his own headers. He was looking at some parts from speedwaymotors.com. They had a weld up kit for $139. may have to buy 2 to get enough bends though.

Curious?

Speedway doesnt have anything listed in 2" or larger, nor anything listed for flange plates for a BBF in any size.

Did I miss something?

Their weldup kit for a BBF. Is part number 930F0460. I am sure it is for a car but he is going to have to cut and hack anyway. The kit is 2" tubes with oval port flange and 3 1/2" collectors. Alot of places want more then $139 for the flanges and collectors.
I am running a set of the Heddman Hustlers but they won't fit is truck.
Thanks for the number Freeman I'll call them later and
see if they have anything in an over the frame. We can't run uprights in this class.
