Jetting question

Ok, from the dyno I learned that with 92 jets, we made the best horsepower, but the A/F ration was 15:1. With 97 jets, the A/F ratio was down to 13.3 but the power was also down about 20 hp.
Should I split the difference and put 94 or 95's in it, or stay on the conservative side and leave the 97's in it?

Brett you still out there???????

the jetting on a dyno may not be the same as on the track and rarely is

You have variable air quality to deal with that you dont in the dyno room.

Run what you have, check the plugs, and make your best guess.

Best power is 12 - 13:1 usually

It sounds like your figures are backwards - the 92's shoulda give u the 13.3 not the 97s

Alan, run the jetting two to three sizes more than what the dyno says makes the most power at least. It'll even run better on the track. Running it as lean as the dyno says it likes...is NOT safe or as torquey.

JMHO! Bret

P.S. Congratulations on a successful motor deal. Bret

Thanks for the info. From what I'm hearing, I think I'll stick 95's in it and make a pull, then check the plugs.
