I have an extra 1050 domi sitting on top of the tool box.
$500.00 and I'll send it to you .. I paid 750.00 for it 4 years ago, and worked pretty good on my 501 with 2" headers with 3" collectors.

If interested email me at dhoma at new .rr. com

Dan

jesse, I think I remember saying you ought to get a 1250. You know I was going to get a 1050 and my wife asked me if that was the biggest one and I said , No a 1250 is the biggest. So she made me buy a 1250 because she was tired of me always having to buy something bigger.

sounds like you got a good woman
the only reason i went with a 1050 is cause the guy i bought the heads and a bunch of other parts had it and it worked good with a simalar combo but looking back i should have just bought a 1250

re...carbs

I'd be interested in a 1050........Could you please remind me of a couple things:

- There is no such thing as too much carb...right?
- A 1050 will support up to what horsepower? I'll never go past 700hp.
- I'm in Colorado...will be boring to 468 cubes with rectangles at 12 : 1 with .650 lift max.
probably 7000 max RPM, and a single plane intake. will the 1050 be enough?

Thanks,

A......

I'm going to have a 1050 dommi for sale at the end of September. Don't mean to undercut Dan, but I'd take $450 plus shipping cuz that's what I've got in it. you can email me at loganwildman1 at verizon dot net

Are all the 1050 Dominator carbs the same, or do they have different models within this size CFM?

All carbs are not equal

September 16 2007, 7:50 AM

When you get to the point where you want everything you an get out of our engine, call Patrick at http://www.pro-system.com/pjames011900.html we used to think we knew what we were doing going off the sound or the feel or the color the headers run, but when we bolted on one of his carbs, it wokred out of the box, and ran well always.

Made a big differance knowing the carb was not the problem.

Just some thoughts.

Pro Systems

September 16 2007, 8:54 AM

Im going to have to 2nd the ProSystems setup. The one we recieved from them has been flawless from the get go. After running it on the chassis dyno we ended up only adjusting one thing...the idle speed. The A/F ratios were dead on.
