Well it looks like I finally have to step up to a 1 ton (probably a GM 14 bolt due to cost) rear.
Went Pullin' Saturday, got hooked , tightened up the chain, got the green flag and eased the clutch out at about 1500 rpm, slowly eased into the throttle to 75 ft. then rolled it to the floor.
The rpm came right up to 6500 (that's where my cam tops out), I heard a SNAP and felt a vibration and knew right there what happened. I broke the front of the punkin' out AGAIN (the third one). The other 2 I thouhght were from dumping the clutch at 5000 rpm but apparently it's a case of too light a rear for the amount of power and traction. I did manage to go 165ft. the last 30 with front wheel drive. Oh and this is with a .030 over 390 FE. Nick.

I think it was the "Serious HP" & Smallblock.
Hey I'm still interested in one of those 14 bolts.
I was gonna give ya a call but I lost your phone #.
Been really low on $$$ these past 2 years hence the reason I only pulled 2 times. I don't think I'll be pullin' at the Benefit pull at West End but I'll probably come up and watch. Are you gonna be there? Nick.
Jason, The West End Pull is on Oct. 13 (Sat.) it starts around 11:00 am. It's at the West End Fairgrounds in Gilbert, Pa. It's put on by Pocono Old Tyme Farm Equipment Assn. This pull is to raise money for charity. There aren't really any classes or prizes. Kind of like a test and tune.
They try to set it up so that similar vehicles are grouped together. There are no weigh-ins. You get to pull a couple of times. I beleive you have to be a member, or you can join there for a small
(I think $6.00) fee. It's a lot of fun (even if you break, like I did ). Nick.

Thanks,
I'm looking to pull one or two more times this year, but haven't found much in PA, NJ, or maryland left this year.
