OK heres a load question. I read throw the past postings and was woundering. What is a really good STREET clutch that will pull double duty and work for pulling?? I went cheap and bought a NAPA heavy duty clutch and it works but there has to be better right? Travis seems to be the man in this subject. But i'm taking help from any one willing. I'm running a mild small block that maybe see's 6000 at most. It's a street truck. So any help would be great. Thanks

Check out SPEC clutches. They have some really nice setups. We are running one of their Stage 3+. It has the feel of a normal clutch but has handled two years of pulling very well. I would think a stage 2 would do you well.

I'm currently using a generic Checker Auto clutch...in a 500 HP BBC. Sure it's gonna wear out and start slipping eventually.

I'd opt for either a Dual set up from Travis or a McLeod dual disk slipper.

They have a peddle like a normal clutch and can be street driven without any problems. But then when it comes time to pull you can slip the heck out of them by holding the peddle down some.

Hey there GMC if u need some help on a clutch let me know.I can do a nice 11 inch single or a 10.5 dual disc.If you want a certain brand like McLeod I can even get that for u.One thing for sure either way u go I recommend a blow proof bell and a sfi steel flywheel for safety.ShaZam here lately guys been callin me sayin they cant hardly deal with McLeod anymore.Seems since B&M bought them they dont care about anyone. The other day guy called me said all he wanted was a weight kit and shim kit.McLeod told him they would sell him the weight kit but the shims he could only get if he bought a complete new setup. Then he ask if they could tell him how to set it up they wouldnt help him.He said they were really rude same with a guy that called tonight said they were rude to him.

I'll have to give them a call and see if Red still works there.
Can't believe it's heading into the shitter just because of new owners.
