| Thanks for the offer on the fuel cell. But I am going to try to have one made. I had a 1/2 sheet of Alum. at the house. So I brought it into work and we cut all the pieces out on the shear and even used the brake to make the legs.
Now I need to get the fittings and filler neck and find someone who can weld it up for me.
It will be a cell with a pocket so to speak that will hold ice to chill the fuel before it goes thru the fuel pump. Hopefully keeping the pump good and cool. |

make a fuel cell
A real fuel cell has an insert that is pourous to prevent fire and/or explosion.
Shiny aluminum might look purdy but is it worth yur life in the event of an accident like a spark or ignition source? |

Here runs fuel cells. Even the our biggest class the modifieds, they run Alum. tanks. Most are round but they don't have the cell type material in them. I have seen that stuff come apart and then it clogs everything up.
I wouldn't think with the tank being inside the bed of the truck that it would be a great hazard ?????? |

Same here. I took the foam out of mine so it wouldn't break apart and clog up the lines. |

I have a car I used to race a little. It has a cell in it and I hate it. The foam was never taken out of it and it is still degrading.
Would any of you guys be interested in seeing the rest of my stable, see that they are cars. ??? |

Some how I knew you were going to ask. Well here is my best. I got the 2 cars out and washed them and started to put a coat of wax on last week. Then things kinda went to pot.
We raise Beagles for a little extra money. Seems Parvo has found its way onto our property. Seeing we had 2 litters of pups ready to go. It has been pretty crazy.
We have been to the Vet. every day since Sat. and the rest of the time we have been spraying everything in sight with bleach and cleaning it again. Looks like we have lose the whole first litter and the 2nd one is at risk.
So you could say I have went to the dogs.
I wanted to bolt the slicks on one car so it would take a good pic. I need to get them finished as far as cleaning and waxed for the winter. So maybe in a few days. |
