Have any of you cut holes in your hood for the air cleaner and or headers? Tell me how you handled the factory bracing underneath the skin. Pictures would be great too.

Thanks
Alan

Do you want individual holes for the headers and air cleaner or can you take one big chunk out for all of it?

Gotta have 3 holes. Also, if the air cleaner is throught the hood, then I have to have a 4" max scoop open to the rear. And, I'd like to make the hood easy to put on and off.

If you aren't going to use the hinges and springs then I wouldn't worry to much. We just cut a huge chunk out of ours and haven't had issues with it. Below are a couple of pics (let me know if you need more detail). We just used hood pins and pin it down. Works OK but we are going to switch to a tilt front end this year.

PS... Haven't forgot about your hand throttle pics. Will try to get them soon.
