i am redoing my front traction bars
my old set up was traction bars with the shockes mounted to the front of the traction bar right behind the weight bar
i have seen some old sckool mods do this so i figured what the heck
it seemed to work fine
but is there a better way and was this done just to make room for headers?
since i run uprights that wont be an issue
i was thinking about extending them back behind the cab and running a spring under the cab floor and that eather schocks next the them or up front right about the axel
anyone have some pics and or words of advice
thanxs

Jesse : are we talking about taking the Leaf springs out and replacing them with a coil spring under the cab and then shocks next the them.

no i was gonna leave the leaf springs in
but now that i think about it it dosent make scence to put coils in than right?
bacsicly i am wondering were would be a good spot to mount them
as of now thay are mounted under the cab about 2 feet from the back of the cab
and i was thinming about moving them back more
but maybe just leave them and mount the schocks in the stock location or clso to it ?
i will be going to a coil set up next year but i dont think i am gonna have time this year but ya never know
i know you run air bags up front so maybe you can post me a few pics of your traction bars in the front and i can get an idea on how to do it
but i was kinda wondering about the coil under the cab
mostly cause i notyiced a few ntpa tracks doing that and i figured there had to be a reason right?
thanxs

OK what I learned for this set-up is if I go less the 10 psi I get wheel chatter at the end of the run. but 20 psi it stays rock solid.
