Super swamper (TRXXUS) (Boggers) or MT BAja Claws or the Pitbulls would be the widest tires, I was told that the Pitbulls will measure larger than any other tire at the same size not sure if that is true.

We just bolted on a set of the trexxus. Some of the guys around here have been doing well with them. We'll see.

Trxxus

From what I have seen they do a great job on a tight track. But if the track happens to be dry and or lose they don't bite good. But on that toght clay track they pretty much are unequaled.
I think Brett would tell you good things about them as well.

I watched every tire combination possible (seemed like) at Du quoin and a truck with 35" bfg at's won, even against sts's. Don't know if that means anything, but the there was sucking the fire out of most everything there.

If you run the trxus tires you will find out how strong your engine is hehe. We have ran about every tire you can think of and nothing hooks as hard as them. BF's are good and if the truck is setup to run them they are hard to beat but if you have the engine to pull em go with the trxus. The track in Il made about any tire work becuse it hooked so well.

What's everyone's opinions on 15" tires vs. 16" tires regarding max load. For instance, 33x12.5x15 TRXUS have a max load of 2,205 lbs. 33x12.5x16 TRXUS have a max load of 3,195 lbs. If anything, what difference would/could this make on the track. The reason I'm asking is I've been thinking about getting a set of TRXUS for the rear, and I already have a new set of 15" rims and a pair of 15" M/T's for the front.

Many ways.

In my mind it could go either way. I'm sure the difference in the 16s vs 15s are the side walls. Now jump in a correct my if I'm wrong.
The light side wall may give you a bigger contact patch when the load gets up on it. Which means a bigger/better bite. But you would lose a little hitch height because the tire sqwished down.
But the heavier tire would not tend to bounce as bad.
Case in point. I'm running a 35x12.50x15. From the info I can gather from guys who have watch the truck run. I'm getting some side wall flex which is transfering into the suspenion loading and unloading just a little bit. But enough that I have to feather the gas a little and then lay back into the the go fast pedal.
Will more air pressure help. Hopefully. I'm running 40 lb now. Next time out I'm going up. Don't know how much yet
At least 5lbs. I kinda tend to want the stiffer side wall.

I like the 15 inch tires. Nice soft sidewall for the front. I run 50-55 psi in the back to keep it from squatting. A few guys here are going to run the 37-12.5-17 this year in the BFG ATs. Really seems to be the tire of choice here but we pull on everyting from red clay to sand tracks.
I have seen the Coursers AT alot in the last year also on red clay tracks and they seem to suck the life out of trucks although it may be a change in gearing.

I seemed to have some side wall flex when I was running my older pair of 15" A/T's on the rear and some subsequent bouncing. Nothing severe, but just enough that I would have to get out of it every once in awhile. I was running 35 psi. That was the max psi marked on the sidewall. Would you recommend running more air than that in them?? I ran a new pair of M/T's on the back, with the same air pressure, and didn't have any problems. I don't want to spend the money on a pair of 15" TRXUS and have the flex problem again, but I do have the wheels and pair of M/T's for the front ready to go. Has anyone run the 15" TRXUS?? Any problems??

A friend

of mine here started running the 15" trxus last year. I never saw his truck bounce any. He was running 33x14.50x15.
As far as air pressure. I wouldn't worry so much about the rating on the tire for what we are doing because it is different then riding them on the road where you would have heat build up in the tire and an increase in pressure.
If you had some side wall flex at 35 psi I think you could definitely go up better then 40+. Why not, just to see if it helps ??????
