Does anyone have any pics of how they mounted their box sides. I'm looking at doing this and was curious what types of frames everyone built to support them. Also, if anyone has ever cut a box apart what did you use to remove the inner box skins/floor so you could use just the outer skins..Plasma, other??

To make my box side I used 1"x1"x1/8" angle iron to make the side frames. Then One piece of 2"x2"x1/16" angle to connect the front top sides togeather . and then I made the bottom frame out of 1"x1"xx1/8" square tubing.

Hope this helps.

I used a plasma on mine and left some of the floor to mount it with aluminum braces.
I have seen a step side that used sheet metal bolted to the frame, bent out at the top with exhaust pipe welded in to give it a factory look with the fenders bolted to that. He had the rear wheels set close in so it looked very good. Thought this might look good on the 70s ford and Aluminum sides would be very lite.
