I built a frame out of square tubing that replaced the radiator core support because it was rusted really bad. I can take some pictures and e-mail them to you.
You can leave the core support in and put the hinge point out in front of it and it works also.Doing the hinge isn't to hard to do. Take the core support mounts out while holding the front clip in its origonal position with blocks or something. Then put some kind of hinge on the frame and core support. Cut the fenders last. I left my hood hinges on and can open the hood normally too.
Heck Yea I'd like some pictures "72". My e-mail is nnomat(replace at with @)enter.net
I think I'm going to leave the hood hinges too. Makes it easier for things like checking the oil & stuff.
Digger, your's is simplicity at it's best. I too like to keep things simple. I'll have to take a few photos of the tilt nose on the ol' Scout when the Son gets it out of the "tent" garage.
Moderator Dan, Real nice job there, looks good.
I'm just lookin' to see different ways of doing the same thing. LOL

I'll get you some pics. It may be the weekend before I can any. I like the way Dan's gets completely vertical and out of the way.

I put some pics in photobucket. Thought that might work better for pics than e-mail.
Dennis, Pictures look good. Photobucket is nice, one can really "zoom in" for the details.
Thanks for posting them. I've got some idea of how I'm going to do it now. I'll post pics in my "progress" post when I get started on the front.
Putting a tilt front on a truck is easier when you don't have a weight bar, fuel cell and battiers in your way .. As for leaving the hood hinges on I thought about it but I was looking to save some weight this year and each hinge weighs 3 pounds. That's 6 pounds in the weight box.
