Does anyone have any information on the B140 rockwell? I have been told they were considered 1 ton because they came in some late 50's and early 60's F350's.

Jarrod,

To the best of my memory the B140 you are talking about is a round tube and runs a similiar (or the same) as the C100 (which is square tube). Both were available in a 1 ton application and neither are very easy to find anymore. I think the common ratio was around 5.83 or 5.40. If you want to know more specifics ask away I will try to help. If you are looking for an opinion why not go an easier route with an eaton (more available) and just as strong if you have to follow a 1 ton drivetrain rule.

I have found a B140 with 5.14 gears which is what I am running now. I was trying to find some info on paper that states this rear came in 1 ton trucks so I can prove it to my competition if they protest. I have a local driveline shop that says they can probably get parts for it. Thanks for the info.
