A good engine builder is G.A.M. in Greeley Co. A lot of pullers have their engines built there. I had mine built there.

RE...engine builders

I called and quizzed everybody in the phone book....Then I went on the racing boards looking for advice...

I ended up going with Denny's Racing & Performance in Denver. He has like 6 number one cars at Bandimere speedway! His mentor builds NHRA Pro-Stock engines! Very reasonable prices. Had a few 650 inch blown aluminum engines in the shop when I was there.....WOW! His shop floor was painted white, and clean as a doctors office.

Here's his data:

Engine builders

As surprising as it may sound, they are all home-grown. My family (especially my father and brother) do all of the engine work on my motors and the engines in Mom's and Greg's IH 560s. Mom does a lot of the sheet metal work. Me? I have my masters degree so I just supervise!

do they do the machine work to? Im looking for somebody close by to the machine work. Or do you know anybody? I think i can swing the rebuild myself, just need someone to do the machine work. I have done three diesel rebuilds (that as far as i know they all are still running), the first one i did was a 8.1 Deere that i blueprinted. Anyway i know they are both totally different but i want to give it a shot.
