I know Alan posted a wiring diagram awhile back....but could I get some advice on a simple set up?

I am shooting for bare minimum wires. So, in saying that correct my following plans please.

- neg battery terminal to frame

- positive battery terminal to the following:

-- alternator, starter, fuse panel.

- From fuse box I have no constant hot power wires out to fire wall. But, I do have hot power out when ign is in on position to following:

-- One brown wire to front clip
-- one 10ga wire to starter (has 9 volts in acc. and 12 volts on cranking position
-- distributor wire
-- and small green wire to temp probe

I have a tach wire tied to inside of fuse box going out also...but trying to concentrate on engine bay only.

SO, that being said, I could just tie the switched hot wire to a terminal block and add accessories to it right??

All my MDS stuff has good diagrams, and should be easy to follow. I did however just cut all my lighting wires, and just want to make sure I didn't need any of them.

Please add or correct anything please.....

My safety disconnect should be tied to the Hot feed from batt to fuse box right???
My neutral safety switch goes where???

Thanks to you all,

A........

RE....wiring

Is it OK to touch the positive terminal of the battery AND the truck......and feel voltage?!?!?!

Either I am one heck of a conductor, or there is a problem...

I bonded the engine block, frame, and front clip to the neg terminal of the battery...I noticed that when I was leaning on some bare metal of the truck, while connecting the positive cable, that I felt a buzz in my arm. After playing with it for a while, It was definitely ME that was shorting out.

Is this OK?????

WHAT

you cut the light wires? ARE YOU NUTS.... Those are the most impotent ones.... dude you really screwed up.

LOL, just messing witcha. When you say safety disconnect are you referring to the break away at the rear of the truck? If so, you should break the ground side of the fuel pump and msd box. If your talking about the main feed, then put the switch in line on the pos. from the battery.

If you

were touching the positive terminal and the ground was already hooked up from the battery to the frame, then your lucky you didn't get knocked on your butt.
