Well I guess im overdue to contributing something on here. I made the jump to pro-stock last nite, i got there signed up and had the tech look over frostbite. I passed everything and got told what i should do for the next pull to make sure everything is within rules. I drew first hook (yay right?) thats actually what i wanted so i didnt look so bad pulling after the real pro-stocks. I pulled i think it was a 251 feet, i didnt opt for a repull i didnt really have anything more to give. Sledawg,3rd degree, and Incognito pulled it 30ft farther. I was happy with my run seeing that i had half if even that hp of them. After I left I herd the Common Sence 2wd truck broke in half. Have to see the vids when and if they get posted. Anyhow here are some pics of the updated frostbite.
Here is a pic of it, i have a set of 15x14 wheels waiting to be mounted on some terra tires that are not here yet.
My rear joint cover and loop. The u-joint covers are hinged to open up, the loops are NHRA spec out of summit racing they are made to account for suspension movement. I ordered 6 of them for 20 bucks each and made the mods i needed to get them on a truck.
I welded a bolt upright on the diff and made a bracket from it to the cover
Killswitch and backup light
Over the winter I rewired the truck and "borrowed" Alan's schematic he posted for his truck. The backup light in the cab is a licence plate light I put under the dash.
The fuel system is setup dead headed for now when i get extra time im going to do it the way Dan said to.
Great job. I'm real jealous. I guess thats what I get for being a woosie and not wanting to work out in the cold last winter. I wonder about your Drive shaft loops. " the book" states not more than 2" from the shaft in any direction.
I didnt get any grief on them, and that wasnt in the rules glen sent me. ill have to look in the rulebook i picked up though. But the tech said i couldnt run the air cleaner the next time i pulled because its a "ram effect". And my hitch height was a little high. They really are not strict. They did make the rules more entry level. And actually most of this was done in the last two weeks. That hood thats on there is a 67 hood. It does not fit a new front end like mine we choped it to make it work on the newer front end and then painted it. We went with that hood so the cleaner could stick out more.

Looks good Frosty... well for a chevy.. lol I'm glad my schematic helped. Now that I used it to wire my truck, I'm going to make some changes to it to add in some options. For example, I kept the power windows just to screw with TA and I also kept the dome light so I want to add for that as well. I ended up using 12 fuses, but I'd like to add another bank of 4 in case some additional accessories need to be added. Hopefully I'll have some more progress pictures later this week.
If you are interested, we would help you build your own motor. We definately have a guy that could help you with the top end of the motor. A motor and some more experience and you will be competing with the dogs in that class.
Results and videos for the Mitchell CTTPA pull will be posted tomorrow.
Quite the night. Greg smoked his new engine, Danny Davis (Lack of Common Sense) dropped his front end and broke things up, and the mini rods were just crazy. I think the crowd got what they came for.
Congrats to Chris (Frostbite). You made one heck of an introductory pull. We're looking forward to helping you achieve bigger and better things. Pay your dues on the track, and you'll be driving like a pro!
Just an FYI... our next stop is Calhan, Colorado - Aurora (South Denver), Colorado, then Oakley, KS. Sounds like the minis will be back for these three pulls.
Anyhow, I'll get the videos uploaded tomorrow during lunch. The results are uploaded, but the link isn't activated yet. I'll do that tomorrow morning. We have a new web program and I couldn't get it to activate remotely. The direct link to the results is http://www.cttpapull.com/results_Mitchell.html.
