Yep, a 350 automatic. This was the first run on a new engine, and it was a lot faster than previous runs. This run felt GOOD! I didn't see the tach until about 200 feet, and it was over 7,000 rpm there.
looks like another mud slinger...... oh well..... no matter where you are from... if you can't win...... you must throw stones... human nature is so predictable, isn't it?
I was simply trying to joke around a little to prevent another mud slinging. But it's obvious that you can't handle a little humor so I won't do it again.
Has it ever been done before? I think i have seen no nitrous in every rule book i looked at. Im just curious

I don't think Alan was trying to be a MudSlinger. He likes to poke a little fun. But if you have talked with him much you would know he means absolutely no harm. Sometimes we like to have a little fun and pick at one another especially if you are driving a brand X truck.
What I would have said in reply to Alan was I didn't forget to take the 650cid out I wanted to try IT with the 250 NOS.
Not trying to butt in just don't take all those comments to heart man.
Now as far as has anyone ever tried it. I think the young man was refering to running NOS.
Well back here in the east where I'm at Yep. Some of the boys spray'em pretty heavy. And more of the guys are turning to it because it is cheap HP.When they go to a pull where they aren't checked and most times they aren't checked.
Our 6800 Mod Class. NOS is legal in their class and they are running 2 stages of a pretty heavy dosage.
Frosty, I've seen nitrous used once (at least he told them about it and it was obvious when he hit it) and after that year, the promoters of the pull banned it. Other than that, I have not knowingly seen it used. I have heard of stories in the drag racing world where they made part of the tube frame into a "bottle" for the nitrous and hid the plumbing in transmission lines then plumbed the line inside the bellhousing and underneath the intake. I also heard once about a guy that hid a very small bottle inside a headlight assembly. Basically they were determined to cheat and got very creative in doing it.
joking around about cheating is no laughing matter if you have seen what it has done to our club, and many friendships...... so unless you are well informed about a certain situation.... calling someone a cheater that you have never seen face to face or have some kind of relationship with...... might just light someone's fire.... especially mine
i accept your apology, and thank you for that..... i have never cheated, and i don't see the need for it.... victory is something that i enjoy, yes, but gaining victory from trickery isn't a victory, it's a farce. I take my integrity very seriously, and anyone that challenges it must be prepared for an attack.......
in closing.... my shorts aren't on too tight, and certainly aren't twisted and i hope that we can continue to maintain a friendly relationship here on the forum. good luck with your pulling season, and i hope to read about your victories soon
Not to rehash what Sean said, but I can definitely see where he is coming from. Sean endured some pretty harsh and direct attacks from former members of our club who where just POSITIVE he was cheating. They tried to prove it, but nothing irregular was found. I hope, as both a board member and as a puller, we never have to go through something like that again. We lost friendships, trust and most of our sanity (I can't say hair... if anyone knows the Lussetto family, hair is in short supply). I think all of our nerves are still a bit raw and the wounds haven't quite healed.
I sure hope we didn't offend anyone, and we understand you weren't privy to the entire event. Bad deal no matter which way you look at it.

One more thing.

If you will endure. I would like to ad one more comment to this thread.
I have no idea how harsh Sean's attacks were and I hate to hear that fellow pullers were so harsh.
BUT if friendships were lost. How good of friednships were they really. And I kinda hate to say this but once you become a winner your have got to exspect SOME finger pointing. Lets face it there are alot of sore losers out there and anyone here who has ever won a pull has been at some point called a cheater by someone. I have been accused of running juice to running over the limit on cubes. Had people come and snoop around the truck looking for the bottle. It is just human nature to think that someone had and edge so to speak when they do better then someone elses best effort that fell short.
I myself take it as a compliment. If they think my truck runs good enough that it had to be on the bottle and it certainly wasn't. I must have impressed someone.
